In the US, all of the schools had computers with internet by the early-mid 90s and most people had them at home by the mid-late nineties.
My high school had 1 computer room , with maybe 25 computers and we pretty much used Microsoft applications, and that's about it as far as I remember.

Is there such a thing as a woman under 35 who will just eat whatever is on the menu or the supermarket shelf, without complaining that she doesn't eat gluten, meat, dairy, factory, etc etc? Seems like every woman I know aged 20-35 has some sort of red line against some basic food item.

mate i go all the way back to microbees and c64s using basic.
The first game I remember on a computer at school was one where you had to experiment with different ratios of 3 chemicals to make a sunflower grow as tall as possible. On a Commodore, I think.

the first actual game i can remember was at townsville grammar, yeah they had c64s, 8 of them, and it still is one of the best games i have ever played

iirc the first game i played on pc was the original mario. where you just had to go up the level, kinda halfway between donkey kong and super mario.
