How was Karen one dimensional? She could go from sweet to volatile effortlessly whilst always remaining convincing. In fact, I could understand Henry not leaving Karen because she had likable qualities beyond being eye candy. Ginger was a monstrous cunt.
She went to sweet to erratic when she didn't get her own way , and was then easily culled backed into a forgiving nature with a little persuasion, just like most women. She was a basic character and they had a basic relationship.
Rothistien tour de force relationship with Ginger was challenging and complex. It challenged the viewer and tugged on their emotional cords.

So just like Ginger and Lester then?

It was challenging in the sense that we couldn't understand what compelled Ace to stand by an obvious lost cause, otherwise I felt no emotional attachment to the relationship at all. Honestly. none. I was rooting for Henry and Karen, I just wanted to turn the volume down on the remote whenever Ace and Ginger were growling at one another.

Goodfellas

Not the biggest fan of mob films to be honest, Godfather 1 and 2 are immense then there's a massive gap down to the next best gangster film which is Once Upon a Time in America.
There's a gap between them but it's not "massive".

^Cos he loved her and thought he could change her. A battle every man faces i life. It tipped him over the edge and his decent to the brink was very believable since he was a proud man who was used to getting everything his own way.
This isn't a movie whose characters you are meant to feel happiness for. Its aims to be a challenging and compelling experience.

Hands up everyone in here that would try to change their wife, who was giving your money away to her ex pimp who she was still fucking whilst taking copious amounts of drugs and all but abandoning your daughter. Any takers?

No, there is trying to change the woman you love, and there's being made an absolute fool of continually. I am telling you that I was not entertained by the fiasco and I didn't feel it to be believable. You're wasting your time by trying to make a case that I am objectively wrong for feeling that way. You have your preference, I have mine.

Goodfellas.

Casino is a good movie even a very very good movie.
But goodfellas is amongst the best ever.

In football terms.....
Casino is like......Paul gascoigne, Gerd Müller, Kenny dalglish...
Goodfellas is like...Messi, Cruyff, Maradona

Can we all agree that Godfather 1 and 2 beats both of these?
Ooh difficult question you bastard.
For one thing they don’t.
Goodfellas is way more reality then Godfather.
For me goodfellas and Godfather 1 and 2 is same level.

As for Godfather 3 many people don’t like iT but i loved iT.
Not as good as 1 and 2 but still a masterpiece

Not seen Casino, but it gets my vote.

Not a fan of mob films. Goodfellas has iconic scenes, but it was overlong and I didn't care for any of the characters.

Yep.

Never cared for Godfather when I was younger. Gave them another chance last year and loved them. Not watched the 3rd and have no desire to.

Like @junior-soprano says

Casino - Gazza, Muller, Dalgliesh
I guess Goodfellas Pele, Maradonna and Cryff

Godfather - Messi, C Ronaldo

Of the films I've seen.

Goodfellas.
The Departed.
Wolf Of Wall Street.
Raging Bull.
Taxi Driver.
Gangs Of New York.
Casino.
Colour Of Money
Cape Fear.

I've left out The Irishman because I didn't give it a proper chance. Haven't seen Mean Streets and likely won't ever see Shutter Island because I had the ending ruined for me when it came out.
