A significant ex of mine was born on the day of the Chernobyl meltdown. Fascinating little piece of trivia there, I'm sure you will agree.

Did the radiation give her super powers?

Allowing her to toss you around like a rag doll?

If not you should go with that as your excuse.

No, a different ex.

This one did love the Imagine Dragons song "Radioactive", though. Every time it came on the radio she'd tell me that she was radioactive. Then she would laugh as if that made sense.

Looks good, the whole event is fascinating, it was probably the Russians complete and utter disregard for human life or the safety of their clean-up teams which allowed them to get it under control as much as they did.

I remember watching a documentary where an expert in the field was watching some guys scrape black stuff off the structure and he knew that every single person in that video would be dead by the end of the week. Something along those lines anyway, it's been a while since I saw the documentary.

Aw, I thought this was going to be a series like the Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl lore. Someone really needs to make a good TV series based off a post apocalyptic, nuclear scenario. I know about that TV movie "On the Beach," btw.

Wlad Klitschko just put a post up on Facebook recently.

His father died of cancer about 7 years ago...

One thing about Nuclear Power is it's a amazing power option as long as things go right...

But a fuck up can be very major.

As disastrous as chernobyl was to humans, over the years it has become a thriving wildlife sanctuary.

Show dem balls bro
So I have Playstation VR and I have this title called Chernobyl VR Project, it's basically a VR experience where you get to visit Chernobyl, hear from residents and interact with the radioactive areas. It's a fucking trip. One of the stranger titles on PSVR to be sure but worth the $2.99 price tag.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing this. But I'm going to watch it sometime later cause FUCK HBO for getting rid of Boxing. Fucking turds.

The Soviets screwed the pooch on this disaster. It was incredible from beginning to end - a flawed, dangerous reactor design that would have been closed long ago in the West, a retarded "test" that had no real purpose and was dangerous, then the long period of denials that anything had happened while the neighboring free nations were measuring huge levels of radiation drifting across the border, the delay in evacuating Pripyat, the sacrifice of the firemen who weren't given any warning that they were entering a radioactive zone... the leaders of that clusterfuck of a nation should have been tried for crimes against humanity, mostly their own citizens.

Yeah, I’ve been thinking about dumping HBO for a while now. No more boxing and they’ve replaced most of their decent shows with a bunch of sjw dogshit.

My hairdresser is Belarusian. Chernobyl is near the Ukrainian Belarusian border and she lived through those days as a kid. Will ask her about it the again when I have more time
