So what is Ruiz getting paid?
Not sure but if he was signed to Matchroom..would be making alot more. Would get more hype. More publicity.

And would not have to pay a consultation fee to Uncle Al Haymon for doing virtually nothing. The real question is what exactly Al Haymon do? The guy does not promote or hype fighters, does not do media interviews.

Had the greatest opportunity in decades to make Boxing a mainstream sport again by having it on terrestrial tv....had huge financial backing.

Instead put on the most dull shows ever...I think your average tèenage WWE wrestling fan. Could have organised more entertaining events with spectacular ring entrances and the rest to capture the interest of the general public.

The really useless promoter has to be Uncle Al Haymon.

Atleast Hearn does his job as a promoter...by selling and hyping events and fighters.

Ruiz has received more promotion and hype in two days from Eddie Hearns than his entire tenure with Uncle Al Haymon.

I take everything Eddie Hearn says about anything with a pinch if salt...but giving credit where it is due he is a great promoter.

Haymon isn’t a promoter, he’s a thief. Got massive 3rd party investment, overpaid the fighters signed to him, this creaming off a good % of the investment money.

He was never interested in growing boxing, just making money from it.

It's a miracle that this shit is still going too.

Hearn is a good promoter but he could beat a polygraph. He has taken lying to a new level.
If he was lying about the $7m team Ortiz would've called bullshit on it, they were happy enough to go to the media and apologise for talking shit when Eddie said he was going to expose them.

No Hearn just reworded it.. in oldfashioned terms what he offered was a 3 fight deal.

$5 million to fight Joshua and 2 further fights if lost for a million dollars each.

Those 2 fights would not be viable because Ortiz is signed to a different promoter.

Traditionally fans used to label such deals as slave contracts....fighter does not end up with much once he has payed of all his contracted promoters and advisers...thats assuming Ortizs promoters allowed him to fight on Hearns shows in the first place.

Basically offered Ortiz less then Miller but made it sound like he offered Ortiz more..lol.

Hearn just rephrases stuff....he does that all the time. Offered Khan
5 million to fight Brook before Brook vs Porter..then swithched and said I meant dollars not pounds.

Said Khan vs Brook should be 50/50 because he held IBF title. And Khan was the one was un-reasonable.

Then when the shoes was on the other foot during Wilder vs Joshua negotiations switched and said a mere title does not give you the right to get a 50/50 split...The fighter with the bigger profile gets the bigger cut. And thats always been the case...accused Wilder of pricing himself out.

Initially said a few years back that Khan..did not want to fight Brook because he disliked him and was reluctant to give Brook a payday.

Then he spun it said.."You know what koogs, I think Amir Khan is terrified of losing to a rival British fighter. He rather lose to big names in America thats why he does not want to fight Brook..."

The above theory has been repeated by fans thinking its their idea...!

I dont have time to go through everything else...all I can say is Eddie is good...He is so goood that his cult of fans not only agree with what he says they think what Hearn told them was their idea in the first place...!

Mine was a general comment that you have attempted to turn into a specific one.

Eddie lies about plenty. But plainly we aren't all able to see through it.

You've completely made all that up. Hearn never said it was $5m PLUS 2 fights, stop lying.

He's been saying those 2 things for years, they are not mutually exclusive.

Nice way of ducking. Too embarrassed of admitting you were wrong about the Ortiz situation.

Pretty sure he was lying about 7 million package.

You still have not answered the question you work for Matchroom?

In anycase I take it all back..my sincere apologies if I have upset you and the Rt Honorable Edward Hearns.

I am old..and l misread Hearn claims he offered $7.million plus one more fight.

Three fight package is what he offered Deontay Wilder to try and get him to sign with Dazn...plus Julius Indongo when he fought Ricky Burns..plus Tyson Fury.

FYI 3 fight package is an old promoters trick likes of Uncle Bob and Don King played that one all the time..

Yeah, only the 3 fight deal for Wilder was legit, and was $100 million guaranteed for 3 bouts on DAZN. One with Joshua and then two more, with the $100 million fixed in place regardless of the outcome of the bouts.

That's a fucking brilliant deal any way you want to cut it.
