Don Charles thinks Chisora is making a mistake fighting Gashi, he says that's not a comeback fight and doesn't like that Gashi has had a good amount of notice to prepare. Timestamped

Interesting. TBH, I don't think Chisora has the time to really mess around with warm-up fights at this stage. And if he can't beat Gashi -- regardless if he is well-prepared and Chisora's coming back from a bad KO loss -- then it's clear he hasn't got it any longer.

Always. Former world champ (oh how they laughed and pointed) against some bloke just out of a chippy in Donny, should be an easy night's work for 'Big Daddy'.

I realise this post could cause me some embarrassment!
Lucas Browne was never a world champ. He picked up a regular belt against a shot fighter when there was a super champ and then failed a drugs test.

Regular actually counts on paper somehow nowadays, and the failed drug test could be rigged like the same way they extended the round when Browne was hurt and ended one of the rounds early when Chageav was hurt

Browne vs Price would be hilarious though, if Allen could survive a few rounds against he would stop him on accumulation but Browne could spark him early

Yeah, I don't see the need in him fighting a journeyman and wasting time he doesn't have. Chisora is made of steel so I don't think that KO will have taken too much out of him. He was having an even fight with the consensus no.4 in the division until the KO so Gashi shouldn't be too much of an ask.

I didn't like Don putting it out there tbh, he didn't need to say anything he just came off a bit bitter and negative.

I think some people wrongly count it but most boxing fans don’t seem to. Either way, I think the fighter makes the belt and we can all agree Browne was never even in the top 15 in the world, never mind an actual top fighter.

Scott Quigg was a legit top 5 super bantamweight at one point and a lot never even viewed him as a world champion due to Rigondeux having the WBA Super at the time chippy Quigg has the regular belt.

Anyone who is or has held the WBA regular belt isn’t and wasn’t ever a world champion.

The only exception I'd say to that is Alberto Machado (and now Andrew Cancio), where the WBA screwed him over and promoted Gervonta Davis to 'super' status -- even though Machado beat the previous 'super' champion, whereas Davis was fighting for a vacant title six months later...

Allen will absolutely batter Browne.

Browne was never any good in his prime & certainly isn’t now. He’s never been a world champion & has never had a world title fight. His claim to fame is beating a shot & I’ll fighter in Chagaev years ago.

He’s slower, has worse stamina & I don’t think he’s even the puncher in this.
