Henceforth, football shall be officially known as Soccer.

I'm doing well. It's good we finally have an American live up to their hype so far. Tbf to Adu he was likely 36 when he came to the states.

My son does the same thing when he's upset.
Good man, glad to hear it.

I think Adu was hyped up too early with the weight of a nation on his shoulders. Although it wouldn't be the first case of an African player playing down their age. He did look damn good when he was younger. I expect their will be a fair few quality players coming through over there though. I support Bolton Wanderers and Holden used to play for us, if he hadn't suffered the injury he did he would have gone on to play for a champions League team at some point, top bloke as well.

As @Bachafach^^^ alluded to, he looked damned good when he was younger because he was old as fuck.

Holden was probably my favorite US player. Him and Feilhaber. Holden still shits on De Jong for his shitty tackling to this day.

There are many US fans who feel Adu flamed out because of he was older than what his mother claimed when they came to the US. Its probably a myth but you have to feel for him given the hype and how he couldnt even make it in the MLS

I think it was Johnny Evans who did Stu Holden the injury that he never really received from. Bolton went to shit when him and a couple of our other midfielders got bad injuries around the same time. One of our players Muamba actually died for a few minutes on the pitch.

Happens all the time with young players. Could have be stuff going on behind the scenes with him. I reckon the US will have a really good side at some point. Too big not to.

The NFL really has become shit though.

No blind side blocks
Roughing the passer
Pass interference
Defensless reciever
What is a catch, what isn't a catch
Quarterback sliding
Loads of questionable calls by the refs
Too much focus on the quarterback

The game's lost it's luster over the past two decades with rediculous rule changes and the NFL doesn't even know how to enforce these rules with any resemblance of consistency.

Eh. I do get your point. For me though, I look at it the same as I look at the NBA. The sport will be engineered to be as exciting as they can make it. When watching the NFL, I go into it expecting to see a battle of offenses. Same as i expect endless 3-pointers in basketball.

I still love watching them both, I just had to get over that they are different leagues than even I get up
