More lies.

I have seen yanks on tv being interviewed who could not point out Spain on a worldmap.
Spain is crap. Would be like pointing out your favorite piece of corn in your shit.

Well i am sorry but if you are that dumb you need to be executed (this Goes also for non americans ofcourse)

Notice I said relatively. Not many if any countries had smarter people than the USA. They led in many things.

I find the map argument idiotic and people make it all the time. Besides it being not important for an American to know exactly where a Spain is, it is also understandable that some do not. How often do you think people look at maps? Do you think people study them all the time? Why would they? They learn it when they are young in school and then many lose track of exactly where counties are.

The only reason to know any geography would be if you were planning on leaving your shit hole country to move to another better country. Since every country other than the USA is a shit hole, we don't have that problem. :bart

Was Wyoming a global colonial and military superpower for a few hundred years?

Anyone in Europe speak Wyoming? Quite a few people in your life speak....... um....... Spanish. :thumbsup

Not the point. The USA is big. Really big. That's the point.
The world is bigger. And when tens of millions of your people speak the language of a major historical superpower that colonised them...... you would expect them to be able to point that country out on a map. That would be pretty default. I'm seeing my 12 year old goddaughter's parents tonight, if I see her I'll ask her if she can point out Spain on a map.

Just because we have a lot of dumb people doesn't mean we don't also have a lot of smart people. There's 300mil of us. There's bound to be both.

Think of all the things that the US has been at the forefront for. Morse Code, the industrial revolution )was brought here by and Englishman but that's a smart person that made his roots here). The internet for all intents and purposes is American at least the commercially available version of it that we all use.

I think what really made us a superpower was immigration. It brought us all those bright minds and spurred meteoric economic growth.

Definitely. So we rose to prominence specifically after WW2? Do you think the rise of our geo political clout and economic strength led to directly to the Cold War? How is it influencing us today?
I think the world wars were our coming out party but we were already powerful, that's why we were able to flex the way we did.

WW2 was the catalyst for the former Nazi scientists, engineers and doctors (most if not all, the best of the best in their field) to coming to the states and being placed in positions of power and influence. Most great things or people have come from Germany or originated from this of German decent. Everything from Doc Martens, Levi's, Bayer to IBM and NASA (as we know it today)

If there is a group of people I admire most and have a strong connection to besides the Brits, it is ze leute aus Duetschland.

Yep.
Very easily Wyoming is in the northwest of the usa iT borders Montana

Maybe my example is not a big thing fir you yanks but i despise stupidity.
Not only in yanks ofcourse.

I think we can demand a certain amount of knowledge from our fellow humans being iT in history or biology or geography.

I once saw this incredible dumb dutch girl on tv who (when asked) thought the mount Everest was 55 kilometers high...

Duuhhhhh if someone is this dumb imo you really should not be on this planet

Everything germans make is of good quality compared to products in the same price range from other nations.

Adidas, Puma, BMW, Volkswagen, Porsche, Mercedes, Audi, miele, grundig.
Just to name a few brands.

Made in germany stands for quality

The USA has a University system that is the best in the world. Other nations have great Universities too, and maybe even one that is as good or better than the top US University, but nobody has the number of great Unis that we have.

I tend to think some pretty smart people, including a shitload of Nobel laureates, work for and around those places, don't you agree, Junior?

Most educated countries in the world
Canada. 56.27 percent.
Japan. 50.50 percent.
Israel. 49.90 percent.
Korea. 46.86 percent.
United Kingdom. 45.96 percent.
United States. 45.67 percent.
Australia. 43.74 percent.
Finland. 43.60 percent.

Less than a half percent behind the UK. Note in the USA we have a large population of recent immigrants who in general do not go to college. Remove them and other disadvantaged minority groups and the ranking of the USA goes up considerably. US Asians and whites graduate at a rate higher than Canada's average, which is the best in the world.

Can you point out Wyoming on a world map?

I could.

Without looking it's a north western state surrounded by Washington, Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana?

Square shaped state.

Yellowstone national park, sparsely populated.

Can't think of a celebrity or industry or anything famous that happened there though.
