I totally forgot about this thread. My brother had this DVD collection of Berserk laying around, which is really weird because he hardly watches anything. I don't even think he knew he had this. I even asked him, and he had no idea what I was talking about. It was weird :lol:.

That was one of those animes I've been dying to watch. Love sword-fantasy, and I was watching the Golden Age Arc movies that I've never finished. I finished it early this month, and I was looking for this thread after viewing. I couldn't find it and I gave up.

Anyways, holy shit, it's so damn good. The ending was bullshit, though. I wanted moar! Fucking soundtrack is awesome too. Gut's theme sounds a bit like Dark Souls' character creation theme.



I've read they revived the anime, but the art style is supposed to be fucking terrible. I've also read they're coming out with movies, which I'd probably rather wait for.

I was watching Attack on Titan last year. Do you all really like that show? I didn't really like it. I only got up to the part where that kid transforms for the first time (not spoiling it). The voice acting is horrible, and I don't like any of the characters, which is a shame because the story has a lot of potential. None of the characters interest me, though.

My man. Berserk is the GOAT, glad you enjoyed it. Get on and read the manga if you want, absolutely brilliant so far. Gut's theme is so good, the scenes where they play it are so well done.

Surprised you didn't like Attack on Titan. You watching the dub or sub? It's one of my favourite animes, consistently good with no bad episodes. In my view all the characters are good, hmmm. It's no Berserk but it's just great fun to watch and really hype.

Maybe give it another go, and watch the subbed if you haven't.

It was like an early Christmas present finding this in the DVDs my brother had lying around. Was a mystery too because my brother doesn't watch anime. Hell, he doesn't watch TV at all other than the occasional YouTube videos. He probably got it as a gift and never saw it. Very likely too because the collection is in pristine condition.

Yeah, it was fucking brilliant. The art style, atmosphere, music, it's all so damn brilliant. The author must hate money because this shit was better than my favorite anime ever, Cowboy Bebop. I'm surprised they gave the series to a bunch of amateurs. It deserves a lot better. Shit is like the holy grail of anime.

As for Attack on Titan, I was watching the dubbed version on Hulu. Anime is one of those things I can't watch subbed. I just can't enjoy the action while reading. Some of my favorite movies ever are subbed, but anime is just one that I can't watch subbed.

I'll probably try it again later on. It wasn't unwatchable. As I said, the story is really, really good, but I didn't like it that much. The voice acting does play a huge part in it, though. The main character's voice is almost unbearable.

Fair enough mate. Some find though, of all the animes you stumbled upon arguably the best.

Oh yeah Cowboy Bebop is brilliant too. Similar to you actually, it used to be my number 1 before I watched Berserk. :lol: And also my brother got me into it! I remember it took me till the end of episode 2 of Berserk to "get it", then I fell in love and watched the whole season in two days.

Yeah I suppose without subbed Attack on Titan may never get really good for you. I think though that the one point to consider is that not a lot of talking goes on during the really high action scenes so it might be better for you? Don't know, up to you man. The music is class though, isn't it?

Is Death Note worthwhile? I see tons of anime rankings ranking it as the GoAT anime. Also, anyone seen the Seven Deadly Sins or whatever on Netflix? Is that any good too? Hard to watch another anime after fucking Berserk because it's so good, but damn, I really want to see another good anime.

Death Note is pretty damn good man. It starts off fairly quick so within an episode you will "get" it. Try and watch the subbed, or do whatever you like haha.

Definitely worth watching. The less said the better but I think you should watch it.

I recently started to watch Dororo. It's an adaptation of an older anime.

"A samurai lord has bartered away his newborn son's organs to forty-eight demons in exchange for dominance on the battlefield."

Animation is excellent, battle scenes are well executed and the OST is very good. The story is original and the anime has a mood that I enjoy.

It's an amazon prime video exclusive. That's how I stumbled on it!

9/10 Recommended
