Also very brave.
His captain for a while (i believe his name was wiedemann) was a jew who fled to america in the 30’s. After the war he was interviewed. And ofcourse as a jew he had no love for hitler but he told the reporter that he never had a braver soldier under his command then hitler.
Hitler was not a good man and did lots of bad things.
But he was brave and had lots of courage in ww1
But was he the handsomest leader in WWII?

@Drunkenboat how come german generaals are so much better then usa British USSR etc
Especially taken inti account that most of the times the allies had more man, tanks, air superiority and the germans lacked fuel.

Take that into account and Guys like : rommel, guderian, model, von manteuffel Proved to be way better then bradley, Patton, Montgomery, zhukov etc etc

Is this luck or is the übermensch simply a better battlwfield commander

My dad always said that he figured one of the reasons that America selected Eisenhower as Supreme Commander was because he had such an extremely German name and it was a good way to mind fuck the Germans.

I really hope, for your dad's sake, that you just made that up.

Eisenhower wasn’t a battle field commander
No he was the supreme allied commander.

So he was ultimately in charge of the overall strategic plan.

He did have a fairly involved hand in planning the particulars of D-Day (Operation Overlord).

I didnt just make it up but nor was it something my dad pinned in particular importance on. His main thought process was just that it would be a little something extra.

No scholarship to it or anything.....I will say that Hitler did "look at" names a good bit.

For example Hitler bought into a common right wing conspiracy theory (sound familar?) regarding Franklin Roosevelt. Basically that Roosevelt was secretly Jewish.

Apparently there is a common Jewish surname that is similar to the last name Roosevelt (which is Dutch in origin).

You should dye your beard.

Did it come up ok with the dye? I had a decent beard going about a year ago but was copping too much grief from the kids because of the salt'n'pepper. I shoud've tried dying it before I got rid of it.
Left it in a bit long so it came out a little too dark....washed it a few times since and trimmed it up so now it looks alright.

Bit of a pain in the ass though because my beard grows fast....

Mine grows pretty fast too. How often after you've dyed it do you need to dye it again or touch it up?

I been doing it once every two weeks but I really should do it more often so the change isnt noticable....
Every week or two isn't too bad given you don't have to shave every day. I think I might get mine going again, this time not letting it grow out so much before dying it.
