As someone who doesn't really play games, I don't really get it. They both looked like those typical shoot em up games that so many people love. I realise the first one was supposed to be shit, hence they put the Curb Your Enthusiasm music over it, but it looked like any other first person shooter to me. Graphics didn't jump out as bad, lots of action, blood etc. What makes it shit out of interest?

Even when I played games I hated things like Doom and never got the fascination with them, but I liked the more measured ones I've seen like Fallout 4 and Red Dead Redemption.

EDIT: I've completely misunderstood the post. I thought Polygon was the company who made the game, but reading the YT comments I see it's the company that writes about games and a member of their staff was shit at playing it.
Yeah, the joke is the person looks like they've never played a FPS game in their lives, they literally don't move the mouse and try to position themselves by moving the character side to side trying to aim, missing wildly. It's laughable to anyone who has ever played this game and has opposable thumbs.

It's emblematic of a massive problem in games journalism, the industry is utterly filled to the brim with larping SJW activists, who spend all their time writing about politics, harassing games devs about inclusiveness, lobbying to have people fired, complaining about Toxic Masculinity, etc etc... This was what Gamergate was all about and the truth is the Gamergaters failed, games journalism and increasingly games developers/publishers are rotten to the core with SJW politics. To the point now that the industry is really starting to suffer. Outlets like Kotaku and Polygon are nothing more than SJW mouthpieces but they wield power and influence.

These people know nothing about games, it's clear they haven't grown up playing them and don't do so in their spare time, preaching to actual gamers that they're community is full of toxic women hating incels and that shit-talking in online COD or something is tantamount to abuse. They are same people loudly complaining just now because a game like "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice" is too hard and needs an easy mode, they made the same complaints about Cuphead last year.

Here's another funny example.

(the first 4 mins of this video demonstrate the problem, you don't need to watch the full thing)

Yeah I ended up watching a few videos on this issue. Some guy called Weegee or something who got lied about by Polygon and then some other YT videos ripping into Polygon too. No real surprises, online media is riddled with this crap. "Journalists" who can barely write a cogent sentence being paid by other like minded plebs to roll out generic, let's save the world from (insert tiny issue) crap.

While I'm here, check this out...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-47820447

Yeah, apparently a lot of people think Ariana Grande saying she "likes women and men" in one line, in one song is a big issue. It's something called "Queerbaiting". In fairness to the BBC, it is not taking a side here, and it represents the obvious view that this is progress. What's funny is seeing a couple of gay women demand that a certain portrayal of homosexuality or bisexuality has to be shown for it to not be exploitative. What if Grande is unsure? What if she does like girls in her imagination, but it's pure fantasy? What if it's utter bullshit to seem "edgy"? Who gives a fuck? If she is lying, how does that harm gay people?

This line is priceless when juxtaposed with the follow up...

"But while advocates of equality agree that expressions of sexuality should not be policed, the modern aversion to labels can also pose problems."

Ah yes, the modern aversion to labels...

"In some ways that can feel like an erasure of LGBTQ identities", says Professor Ng."

 Whoa there Professor, did you just show a modern aversion to including the all important I and A from LGBTQIA? Or an even more widespread aversion to dismiss the addition letters of LGBTTQQIAAP ?

Modern culture as she refers to it, is fucking OBSESSED with labels. Cisgender...to label 99.9% of the global population. Flexitarian for someone who erm...isn't actually vegetarian or vegan at all. Latinx....cos like latino is patriarchal. There's never been more labels, and more self absorbed obsession with being a label than there is now.

Grande's sexuality is entirely her own business, and if she has no interest in making a big deal about it in official statements that's nobody else's business to worry about.

Didn't Katy Perry have a massive hit years ago called "I kissed a girl (and liked it)", where was the outrage?

Labels.. labels and boxes, to put people in, that's ALL Identity Politics is, categorizing every person in terms of their immutable characteristics and identities and sub-dividing and ranking them all in some utterly arbitrary league table.

It certainly seems like an attempt at "erasure" of Intersex and Asexual people to me, think of the Otherkin professor!!

God I find words like "erasure" nauseating ... no one is fucking trying to erase your identity or dehumanise you or any of the rest of the hysterical ideas you have in your head. In general, people don't actually give a fuck about you.

We all know that women are FAR more leniently treated in the criminal justice system, but here we actually have a female judge outright saying that a woman who she is letting walk would be going to prison if she were male. Male privilege etc.

Well at least they are investigating the judge for it.

Though they’ll probably find some reason, most likely it’s the abusive partner (the mans) fault and the judge did nothing wrong.

Yeah, I clocked that bit too. It was actually the fault of the abusive boyfriend. Forget the fact we know nothing about how he was abusive, why she stuck around with him for 15 years or why she’s committed 3 drink driving offences since having split with the guy but it’s definately all his fault. He’s a penis wielding monster after all.

Unless she’s grinding on Pulev himself I really don’t see how that video changes things. If some girl likes you and starts grinding on you does that give Pulev the right to kiss her?

No not really. But think it's the fact she was meant to be oh so upset....she went out same night and lap danced his crew with him there.

Supposedly, Polygon is a video game press company that is filled to the brim with SJW's. Their gaming is fucking awful.
This looks like it was played by a disabled person and I’m not saying that in a mean way, maybe they let a disabled reporter or intern make the video?

The Asian guy is Tan from Speakers Corner (Hyde Park, London) and he spends most of his time pissing off the Muslims by speaking against Islam, looks like he was praying to a can of Tango near a mosque to get he predictable response but that big fat cunt who punched the woman was bang out of order.

As a fellow troll who dislikes organized religion in general, I rate his game Troll Level B+. I'd like to have seen him praying to that can of Tango in some muslim garb with a cardinal cap on.

In an interview for the April issue of Vogue Arabia, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) said, “To me, the hijab means power, liberation, beauty and resistance.”

Yes.

In related news, the sky is green and the grass is blue.

:hat
LOOOL @ liberation.

That cunt Omar isn't too bright is she? She constantly trivializes Islamic terrorism.

Tbh he has a good point with the sanctuary cities, as long as they get federal funding they should share the burden of supporting incoming immigrants. I would begin with sanctuary cities and branch out to other places. The burden of the immigrants on the border is getting out of hand.
