Don't know much about Slowthai , but he's probably another POS like Stormzy who blames everybody for London knife crime except the actual Mayor of London. His crap grime music is also the soundtrack to London gang culture.
Why blame the mayor of London? There were more murders 15 years ago than in the past 3 years, and there were even more 18,19 and 20 years ago. London, per capita, has lower knife crime than several other cities, and one clear issue in London has been a slash in police numbers. That's not the mayor's fault, that's the government's.

Boris wasn't in Government when Stormzy was blaming and ridiculing him. Why is Khan exempt from blame when it comes to London knife crime? You know for sure that Stormzy would be tearing Boris to pieces if he was still Mayor of London. Yet he never has a bad thing to say about Khan.

I don't care what Stormzy has to say on politics, but Boris has been in government for years. He was the mayor of London himself, he has been in the cabinet of the government since 2016, and the PM of the country since July 2019. So yes, he was in government when Stormzy was criticising him, and before that he was at the forefront of running the Brexit campaign which flat out lied and used illegal sources of funding.

Khan can be held responsible to a small degree, but no individual politician can be blamed for something as complex as gang problems. The first area to blame would be police cuts, but even that is only a sliver of the problem.

PERSONALLY I think he dies a good job of breaking down Sargons superficial nonsense... the faux outrage and the basic misuse of facts is, quite frankly, appalling

BTW... you should have held on to the end where he got to Sargons inability to properly use statistics.
OK, I went back and watched the part to do with the misuse of statistics... again, have to say, absolutely fucking awful video.

So his pedantic point is that one report is talking about refugees and the other is talking about migrants and the claim here... he is conflating the two?

OK... aren't they already conflated?

Here's a story from the Guardian in 2015 regarding Germany being on course to accept 1 million "refugees"

Germany on course to accept one million refugees in 2015

"Germany registered 964,574 new asylum seekers in the first 11 months of the year, putting Europe’s top economy on track for a million arrivals in 2015, official figures have shown.

Some 206,101 migrants entered the country in November alone, a new monthly record, up from a previous high of 181,166 in October, according to the interior ministry."

Note how they use the terms refugees, asylum seekers and migrants almost interchangeably?

Well, this is because the terms are already conflated and EVERYONE does this because within that one million people, we have ZERO idea how many were legitimate asylum seekers and how many were simply "economic migrants", exploiting the situation so we refer to them all as migrants, therefore the 208,000 crimes committed by this group of people are lumped together. (Sorry, the 179,288 crimes because I'll accept his point and ignore the fare evasion crime... I mean it's not like we should care about people not upholding the basic of civil society like paying your public transport tickets.)

We have no way of knowing whether the 3500 claimed attacks were directed at legitimate refugees fleeing war zones or just general migrants who came in during the crisis or even what these attacks consisted of e.g. physical assault or name calling, it's usually all mashed into one.

So, what point does he think he's making by isolating Syrian, Afghani and Iraqi refugees when the migrant crisis was far more than just these people.

So that was in 2015, here's a news story from the New Years Eve celebrations in Cologne of that very year.

2,000 men 'sexually assaulted 1,200 women' at Cologne New Year's Eve party

Are we arguing that Germany hasn't seen a spike in crime due to these migrants?

Should we nit-pick over how many of these sex pests were Syrian and how many were Algerian or some shit?

In 2016, the next year, the EU saw 133 people killed, 929 injured and 429 people arrested in relation to Islamic terrorism. It's funny how he minimizes this statistic compared to the so called Hate Crime Reports (which although I can't prove it, I'm VERY fucking sceptical of) and also how he doesn't apply the same logic to these 2200 hate crimes that not all of them are likely to be violent assaults and murders.

A total of 619 people have been killed in Islamic terrorist attacks in the EU since 2004 but I'm sure the number from these Hate Crimes is far higher right, both numerically and per capita?

Faux outrage and basic misuse of facts. sure.

nope

you missed the whole point

he was conflating refugees and immigrants...............and saying that crime was due to the REFUGEES.............

see?

when,in reality, the vast majority of crime was due to IMMIGRANTS from other European nations, not evil brown people that were refugees

Im not sure how you missed that very simple point

he misused the stats, either intentionally or because he is stupid

thus his conclusion was wrong, but its what people like to hear and so nobody bothers to check

it seems to me that the defense of sargon here, form you and others,is that its 'pendantic' to point out he is factually incorrect and superficial..............

yer quite welcome to like him

I find him insufferable and questionable as far as his honesty goes..................as well as incredibly superficial and a whore for 'outrage clicks'..............his whole shtick relies on pretending to be upset over things that are either meaningless fringe shit or,of course, misunderstanding and misrepresenting the facts

its also kinda weird that, despite claiming to be a 'liberal' Ive never seen him ONCE go after any 'conservative' policy or fringe nonsense.........

so,yeah,fuck that smug shitweasel

There's no excuse unless you're someone who excuses racism. It's absolutely fucking appalling and in a reverse scenario, the student would be expelled. This entitled bitch is smugly smiling as she sits down, because she's lapped up divisive, obnoxious propaganda, and all she's doing is making her country more racially divided than it ever was when she was born.

What are you basing this on?

I googled the first sentence to find the original source and this is what it says....

https://mackenzieinstitute.com/2016/02/germany-migrant-crime-skyrockets/

According to the report, most of the crimes were committed by migrants from: Syria (24%), Albania (17%), Kosovo (14%), Serbia (11%), Afghanistan (11%), Iraq (9%), Eritrea (4%), Macedonia (4%), Pakistan (4%) and Nigeria (2%).

Most of the migrant crimes involved theft (Diebstahl): 85,035 incidents in 2015, nearly twice as many as in 2014 (44,793). Those were followed by property and forgery crimes (Vermögens- und Fälschungsdelikte): 52,167 incidents in 2015.

In addition, in 2015, migrants were involved in 36,010 reported cases of assault, battery and robbery (Rohheitsdelikte: Körperverletzung, Raub, räuberische Erpressung), roughly twice as many as in 2014 (18,678). There were also, in 2015, 28,712 reported incidents of fare evasion on public transportation (Beförderungserschleichung).

There were 1,688 reported sexual assaults against women and children, including 458 rapes or acts of sexual coercion (Vergewaltigungen oder sexuelle Nötigungshandlungen).

According to the report, migrants were accused of 240 attempted murders (Totschlagsversuch), in 2015, compared to 127 in 2014. In two-thirds of the cases, the perpetrators and victims were of the same nationality. There were 28 actual murders: migrants killed 27 other migrants, as well as one German.

Finally, the report said that 266 individuals were suspected of being jihadists posing as migrants; 80 of these were determined not to be jihadists; 186 cases are still being investigated. The infiltration of jihadists into the country, according to the report, is “a growing trend.”

The report leaves far more questions than answers. It remains unclear, for example, how German police define the term “migrant” (Zuwanderer) when compiling crime statistics. Does this term refer only to those migrants who arrived in Germany in 2015, or to anyone with a migrant background?
The point over whether they were refugees or migrants is just pedantic as fuck, it makes no difference to the overall point about a rise in crime due to these migrants. My post still stands and I'm not bothered for addressing the rest of this post because it's hyperbole and personal opinion.

Missed this.

He's atheist, pro-abortion rights, pro-NHS, he's neutral on climate change, pro-social welfare, disagrees with Ben Shapiro on most points and pro-liberal values like equality under the law for all races, genders and sexualities (which is my criteria for being liberal btw) ... as for the point the dipshit in the video made about him not attacking the far-right... the Alt-Right made his life hell for about a year solid, including contacting and harassing his wife after a still-birth because he consistently went after them in debates and videos... so either the guy has watched very little of his content or is just flat out lying.

Are you sure your problem with him isn't more that he's pro-Trump and Bannon?

he SAYS he is 'liberal'

I get that

he SAYS he is pro all that stuff

But Ive never heard him once attack ANY right wing policy or,as he does with the left,go after any right wing fringe shit

I had no idea,BTW,that he was 'pro trump'

Kinda hard to square that with being 'liberal' or having an IQ above room temperature

No functioning adult should take any 'pro trump' person seriously as a 'thinker'...................

One has to be either a troll or a fucking moron to be 'pro trump'..............

yes,MIGRANT crime

he tries to conflate that with REFUGEE CRIME as if the majority of the crime was from REFUGEES

it isnt

its from European migrants

so he EXCUSES attacks against refugees by citing MIGRANT crime numbers..............

MEANWHILE refugees from Iraq and Syria and Afghanistan were UNDERREPRESENTED in the crime numbers..............

The MAJORITY of MIGRANTS are from other european nations................

So,he EXCUSES attacks on REFUGEES as somehow justified by the 'crime numbers' but quotes MIGRANT numbers as if those were refugee numbers, which they are not..............

God almighty, this should be very easy

its not 'pedantic',the misrepresentation is entirely central to his 'point' that the press is somehow covering up REFUGEE crime while bemoaning the ATTACKS ON REFUGEES

jesus fuck man

He definitely does attack the fringe stuff and pays the price for that but he also periodically live streams one of those political compass things and has by his own admission moved to the centre and then slightly right of that over these past few years, over the past three times. So yeah, he's probably more conservative and definately not left-wing but I don't think left and liberal are exactly the same thing anyway.

If someone claims to be pro or anti something, I'll take them at their word unless they continue to say things or act in a contradictory way.

With Trump, he likes the populism I guess and the how against the grain Trump is... I don't particularly care for Trump, especially given specific things he's done in the past year but he neither overjoys me or enrages me as much as he does you guys in the clusterfuck that is the Trump thread.

Being that both Sargon or I are British, we can take a more detached view of Trump, let's be honest, his policies or behavior rarely affect us.
