So people are threatening to kill Rowling for writing about a cross dressing murderer. That will show people that not all trans people are dangerous psychos.
I think it is showing that this mindset it truly starting to fill the hole left by religion, for some people. I think a lot of us have known that for awhile, but things like this start to illustrate it more strongly

That's a good point.

We used to kill people for having slightly different religions, (a lot of people still do), we might start killing each other for having slightly different social ethics.

Some kind of crusade between feminists, trans rights activists, and the mgtow/incel lot.

You can see a clear parallel between the mindset behind inquisitions and the social justice purity model that is pushed. It aint 1:1 but it goes to how naturally human a lot of these behaviors are.

The worst of it is that it's usually not the actual trans-people that act this way or make these ridiculous claims... it's the perpetually offended acting on their behalf.

Because victimhood is assumed and venerated. The worship and defense of that victimhood elevates your own righteousness and goodness. It's religious dogmatism 101, son!

It's a hilarious joke isn't it.

"when we say "Kill Whitey", we don't really mean that... no, it's one of those left wing things where we say something really fucking stupid but meant something completely different which would require a 15 minute explanation to the underlying message, which we don't have the character count to explain on Twitter, you know like "defund the police", we don't really mean Kill Whitey, well we do lol haha but... we just mean not today, ummm ... I mean something something about Capitalism and Trump and Africa years ago, you know"

BBC Comedy Show 2020.

Here's a good joke for you "KILL ALL BLACK PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY LITTLE BLACK CHILDREN.... UNNNGGGGG!!!"

Aha, you see you got triggered there but I didn't really mean that, I meant kill the negative social construct conception of black children and replace it with a much more afro-positive re-imagining of the notion of black children within a Capitalist system of Awwppreshun... see, you jumped to a pretty silly conclusion there, didn't you?

Typical Rightist.

Pfffft... is it something the "right-wing" are against, give it an hour or so and we'll see.

I wouldn't put money on it.

I like Frankie, and I like most of the people he books on that show, but I don't like the show itself.

His stand up at the start is usually pretty funny, but the political debate is cringey and one sided. It's usually just a lot of unfunny back slapping.

Even when I agree with them I find it embarrassing.

Boyle is much better than this show. Pascoe I find a strange one. I don't think she is a naturally funny performer and she doesn't tend to shone on these shows. I think she is a better writer than anything.

Don't really care much about the joke itself in isolation, but it's a fair indication of how unfunny and uninformed the show is in general.

I've never seen the show in my life before this clip and I don't know any of these other people but it just sounds like the usual racist screeching from SJWs that I've heard for years. It's funny that someone feels comfortable making statements like this. I didn't pick up anything about it, in terms of either content or delivery to suggest it even was a joke.

The point was completely illogical and they're sat around nodding their heads in agreement with someone talking about killing whitey... and this is acceptable post-watershed BBC programming.

Boyle, I dunno what happened to that guy. I don't have much time for him these days, he went from being one of the most offensive but funniest guys on the circuit to this weird SJW recluse trying to tone police other folk.

Holy shit....I mean if they say "kill whitey" is not about killing all the white people (I mean it is lol) but rather about killing the white structures, and white supremacy...I guess then I am ok with It. As long as they kill whitey for the right reasons.

We saw a bit of that episode and had to turn it off. Must have been around that point because they were wittering on about BLM.

Even the Mrs thought it was really biased, and she's a full blown soft touch Liberal leftie.

The woman who said it, Sophie Duker, is a comedian, and has been on the show before. I don't find her very funny tbh, but I've never seen her live which can change things.

She's black, queer, woke, and also a bit of a bore it seems.

The arguments made on the show are a nonsense most of the time. Boyle is a great joke writer, but he's also drug addled, mentally ill, and too into student politiks.

He gets some good comedians on, but most of them just garble some ill thought out nonsense. Very few of them seem able to make a clear point, so that even when you agree with them it's still annoying.

It's best just to watch the monologue at the start then change channel.

It's a bit insane, but the president of my graduate body is a lesbian. I never thought I'd hear this shit since I've been in the science wings all my life. Well, supposedly the university is not doing enough for LGBTAKLQJWLKEJWALKFRHASLKFN and minority students... For the minority student thing, FML, I'm sitting right there while a body of mostly white people talk to me about the university not doing enough for me. Honestly, I was fucking dumbfounded. I've never seen this kind of shit happening in person, but it's quite fucking humiliating, especially when this university has been like a dream to be a part of.
