Me too.

The thing that gets me is the why.
If it was a case of Jeff just not wanting to stay local and wanting big international fights, you'd think it would be easy to just announce that to the public, Tell Tim he needs to do more than Brubaker, Ritchie, Camilleri and co. That would be perfectly acceptable. But I haven't heard Jeff mention anyone else's name.

Maybe he just isn't up for it after the few battles he's been through recently
Horn was on the cusp of a title fight against Brant when he fought Zerafa the first time.

Getting the fight required him to beat Zerafa and Brant to retain his title against Murata. Neither played out the way they were supposed to.

It was announced today that Horn-Tszyu is signed and will take place on April 22nd at a yet to be determined location. The fight will be at 154 pounds and over 10 rounds.

Big domestic fight this.

Horn seems quite excited the fight will be over 10 rounds and not 12. Not sure if it is just gamesmanship on his part? Or perhaps he is trying to minimize the wear and tear on those fragile eyes of his?

after all of horn's talk on tszyu, i hope tim knocks him clean out, to be honest.

and why does horn want 10 rounds?

sounds like jeff has stamina problems.

and why would he want a rematch, if he's so confident.

sounds like jeff is the one making all the excuses.

tszyu has basically said i dont care about the money, i just want to fight him.

i'm picking tszyu.

Can’t post the screen shot so fuck it I’ll type

According to BoxRec;
Liam Wilson VS Jackson Woods
Joel Camilleri VS Adam Copeland
Isaac Hardman VS Jamie Weetch
Cameron Hammond VS Will Parsons
Sam Ah See VS TBA
Ben Horn VS Patrick Clark
Lin Sandstrom VS Jessica Cashman

Wilson was supposed to fight Nort Beauchamp but Covid travel restrictions killed it. Woods stepped in as replacement.

Will be good to see Hammond in action again. He was a talent and looking like he has plenty of tools but his career has fizzled a fair bit with inactivity

Same thing with Ah See. Looked like he had the goods but wasn’t active and hasn’t fought in 5 years so was looking forward to see how he came back. Was supposed to be fighting Koen Mazoudier but that’s off now so hopefully they find a replacement.

Kye Mackenzie VS Kayne Clarke was originally announced But fell through as well. Steven Clarke was supposed to step in to replace Clarke but it seems to have fallen as well.

shame McKenzie is out, hopefully Ah See gets a fight but overall the card is pretty sound considering everything that’s going on

There's a lot of lightweight aggro in the papers in the leadup to this fight. It lacks a certain amount of sincerity when prior to the fight being announced both Horn and Tszyu spoke respectfully about each other.

The fakish aggro is mostly about selling tickets I suspect.

Pacquiao fan here.

I thought Horn had a really good gameplan when they fought and it was closer than what was previously thought.

I liked the kid.
I don't get the aggro some people have for Horn and yes, he did fight a good gameplan against Pacquiao.

Jeff Fenech told Horn pre-fight if he tried to box Pacquiao he would lose badly. Fenech told Horn he would have to rough Pacquiao up at every opportunity and that's exactly what he did.

How Horn survived the 9th round I'll never know. Pacquiao had him out on his feet and he was ready to go but Pacquiao just couldn't quite finish him.

Yeah I don’t get the vitriol hate against Horn. It was a tough close fight...

was he dirty? Absolutely but I don’t hate on him for that.

what if he rematches Pacquiao (Obviously, it’s not going to be in Australia.

but that would be a really good fight IMO

No way there will ever be a Horn-Pacquiao rematch. Horn tried to get one but Pacquiao moved on.

It was definitely a close fight on the cards.

There is conjecture about the ref wanting to stop between rounds. Pac got stiffed imo.
In the latter part of round 9 and at the end of it, Horn was virtually unconscious on his feet. How he regrouped in 60 seconds from that I'll never know.

As for the decision after 12 rounds. Could have gone either way. So whoever got the nod there were going to be cries of robbery from the other side.

Good to be back @DB Cooper

Anybody who disparages Jeff Horn can get fucked - he has Crawford on his record (minus column) and Manny Pac (close and controversial).
Either way he is a champion of the sport, and, his willingness to pass the torch to Tim win/lose/fail is great viewing for the fans.
Cheers mate. It's been about 6 months since I posted here :good

I don't get how Tim is such a strong favourite going into this fight. He has improved every fight but I think this is a pickem fight and the odds should reflect that. May the best man win but if I was putting my hand in my pocket I would back the more proven guy, Horn.
