I don't want to be a negative Nelly and before I make my point I would like to say that Gallagher has had phenomenal success with his British, Commonwealth and European champions. Ring magazine trainer of the year, trained 3 world champions and Scott Quigg.
With that being said his record in America is pretty heavy on the negative side:
Loma vs Crolla
Rios vs Murray
Beterbiev vs Johnson
Ward vs Smith
Canelo vs Smith
Vargas vs Smith
Pedraza vs Smith
Now they were all pretty heavy underdogs and he's only really had one special fighter in Callum Smith so let's hope Callum can get a Ramirez unification or even a Canelo/Golovkin fight over there.
It's great when your boxers are winning but part of being a decent coach is doing the right thing when your boxer is losing.
I have not forgotten Rios v Murray.
