Yeah and fres oquendo chinned vitali Klitschko in sparring. Sparring stories don't mean shit, casual.
Oh.....

They fought in sparring and Dillian Whyte knocked him spark out. Fury hasn't wanted any since.
Yeah and in another Vince interview Fury. Admitted Joshua beat the shit out of him in sparring now get back under your rock
I almost forgot that Whyte already knocked Fury unconscious in sparring so he'd take that confidence too.

Big test for both. Joyce has a way better record but I think Dubois would've beaten Ustinov and Stiverne. Dubois seems to have the higher ceiling (Frank obviously thinks so) and he dealt with Gorman with ease.

I edge towards Dubois but I reckon Joyce has the stamina and durability to really test Dubois. It could easily be too soon for him too.

Wilder probably will win but you will still be a nerd hiding behind a profile on a boxing forum. Imagine if Fury came to your door, you'd hide and call the police lol.

My head says Dubois by KO. He passes the eye test and looks the part, quick hands, big puncher, solid fundamentals. Plus Joyce will be standing in front of him for long periods, he won't have to chase Joyce down, so from a style perspective he may have the edge.

But I don't think you can discount Joyce. He's older, more experienced, fought the better opponents and is bigger. Plus he is awkward as hell, he throws so many shots, has an odd rhythm and throws shots at weird angles you don't expect.

Dubois is most effective when moving forward. He creeps forward throwing that impressive jab, edges guys back to the ropes then unloads. Thing is Joyce isn't the type to be so easily backed up, he will look to back up Dubois and if he can do that with his volume then Dubois is in trouble because he doesn't look like a good boxer from the back foot. Of course backing Dubois up or trying too might just mean it gives Dubois a chance to KO Joyce.

If Dubois loses he's young enough to come again though. If Joyce loses then it's a big set back and he'll need to take more risks to try and claw his way back into contention, he doesn't have the time to spend years rebuilding.

Both guys have a lot of questions hanging over them as neither has been seriously tested. Hopefully we get to see some of these answered. Can Dubois cope vs an opponent who pushes him back and makes it ugly, can Joyce adapt if his usual kamikaze style doesn't work and he's the one forced back. Both these guys have run rough shod over their opponents so far pretty much doing what they like, hopefully we get to see them tested here and have them show us something they haven't before.

I think Dubois win by stoppage in the 2nd half of the fight. He might very well be behind on points or at least had some rough moments and been tested but I think his power, youth and Joyce's lack of defence eventually sees him come out on top.

Good analysis in my eyes.

I just can’t see how Joyce’s “block punches with my face” defence and one (laboured) pace works? Hes a KO waiting to happen.

That said, this is an intangibles type of fight. Neither have been tested like the other can potentially test them, so it’s a real interesting one.

My head is telling me after this fight we will be saying well, Joyce has been in the ring with Usyk and Hrgovic and Dubois best opponent was Gorman...

Wouldn't shock me if Dubois lost, we've seen plenty of big punching guys come and looks impressive just beating up domestic level guys, Price for example looked the goods until someone fought back.

That's the thing when these prospects who just get in there and smash guys out is that you never see other aspects tested other than their offence. We haven't seen any glaring flaws in Dubois yet but we haven't seen him in with anyone that could take him out of first gear and show anything else. There's still a lot of questions in regarding how good both are really, but Dubois more so as at least Joyce has operated at a higher level before.

Can't wait for Susanna Reid's analysis.

Tbf, probably good viewing figures for that dross. Don't know how many of the new mums, pensioners, and long term unemployed that make up the viewers will buy the ppv however.
