Get my money ready

Thinks it a case of Lemieux being overated and Ryder underrated. Its very hard to judge them. 1 opponent did better than the other vs BJS. 1 is on and upwards curve the other on a down.

Great fight whoever wins a real fan friendly 1. Ryder career has been handled brillaintly of late

I think Ryder has a good chance here. Lemieux is a monstrous puncher but technically he’s poor and he doesn’t have great punch resistance. Ryder is in the form his career, can be slick and also packs a decent punch. I wouldn’t look into the Lemieux v O’Sullivan fight as any sort of comparison. Spike is leagues below Ryder.

I wouldnt even say Lemieux is on the down side he could still be prime, the guy has just been drained for years I remember how bad he looked in the Curtis Stevens weigh in and he still managed to ktfo him with ease, a healthy Lemieux at 168 is a scary thought but I havent seen enough of Ryder recently to make a prediction though

I think Lemieux's problems with weight is his lifestyle out of the ring. He looks kind of fat to be honest and either gives himself too much to lose or isn't dedicated enough in sticking to nutrition during camp. I actually think those things are a lot of fighters problems rather than simply not being able to make the weight.

Yeah I agree, hes put on so much size from the Rubio fight but it doesnt even look like muscle just looks like size lol but somehow it works well with his power

I remember in the last HBO show they had a commentator that worked with his coach. I think it was either Roy Jones or Pascal that worked with him and was commentating. He said Ramsay would never let his fighter get in the ring out of shape. He definitely does look somewhat fat. It might just be his build, but I really can't say. It's definitely a mystery because of what I heard during the HBO commentary. I think it was for the Curtis Stevens fight.

I actually remember Kellerman asking Lemieux about the shape he was in for that fight.

Is it to late to apologise for saying Lemieux isn't a puncher.

I regretted saying it straight away then tried styling it out by talking above the move up to 168.

I will just admit it is one of many stupid things I have said on this forum.

I don't think before I speak sometimes haha.

Org83 backing Lemieux this bodes well for me. I backed Groves to beat Eubank he said I was crazy.

Hope Ryder is long odds 5/1
Did I? I can’t remember. Certainly not first time I got it wrong. Definitely not the last either.

Still don’t think you’re into a winner here but good luck.

Fair play for this.

I wasn’t trying to dig you out, it was just one of those things (we all say from time to time) that you read and just think “WTF”?

Personally would love to see Ryder win, I’m just not quite sure he’s dynamic enough to not get caught on a number of occasions and it’s my bet that if Nick Blackwell can stop you, then you better believe Lemieux can.

Yeah wasn't my finest comment.

I also forgot what he done to Spike O'Sullivan just recently aswell, I had only seen him box a couple of times and it was unfair for me to make a judgment without looking through his resume properly. It was silly to judge his power on fights like the Saunders one as he barely landed a punch so it had no relevance to his punching power.

I do think that Ryder is much sturdier at 168 however and that Blackwell stoppage may have had alot to do with the cut down to 160. He never really looked buzzed at all by Fielding or Etches at SMW and he bingoed Cox before he had a chance to get going.

I really think Ryder can box and move to a points win...we will see.

Winner of Lemieux vs Ryder likely to face Callum Smith next, war Lemieux him vs Smith would be a decent fight

Think he beats both but cant rule Lemieux out against anyone thats not a master boxer, Smith is hittable
The size difference would be crazy though and with Lemieux's little arms he'd struggle to even reach Callum's head. Groves punches harder than Lemieux and is more accurate so I cant see Lemieux stopping Smith. I'd watch it as it'd be entertaining.

When you said it, I just let it slide because I thought it was a forum joke I wasn't aware of

It's only when @dkos pulled ya up I realised youd just dropped a mahoosive bollock.

Yeah thats the problem Lemieux has T- Rex arms, and no way Groves hits harder than Lemieux, Lemieux would put Eubank Jr to sleep Lemieux could be the hardest p4p puncher in the sport his power is consistent, Lemieux's left hook beats Groves right hand

He might put Eubank to sleep but he will find it very hard to find Smith imo.

I would rather see him at 160
