Another tough one. Man, these LWW are very well matched at this point. Division was a wasteland when Crawford was fighting here.

Where is this likely to take place? I doubt neither man will want to give much on the location. Josh will probably want in Scotland, maybe at the Edinburgh castle location he was talking about previously. Ramirez will want it in Mexico or the US?

Taylor by clear UD. Just like I predicted him to win clearly against Prograis.

That Ramirez guy is probably the worst unified Champ walking around in boxing.

You're a good guy, but you shouldn't be bragging about your predictions, as your record of late is really not very good. You predicted it was clear as day that Gorman would KO Dubois, you predicted Price would KO Chisora, that Okolie would get KO'd last night, and while you did pick Taylor by UD initially, after 3 rounds you said Prograis was going to KO Taylor within the next couple of rounds.

You also predicted Gassiev to KO Usyk, and then before the Usyk-Bellew fight said that Bellew would do better than Gassiev and would not be stopped by Usyk. Looking back at your posts, the last prediction before those was Zeuge to KO Fielding. It actually seems that you get almost every prediction you make wrong.

Damn are you stalking me? Every great expert gets some fights wrong!!!

Checkhook boxing should be happy that I am back!

BTW: Kovalev wins by UD against Canelo. THat long jab will be too much for Ginger Ale.

Nah, I just saw all your wrong calls yesterday, remembered another and had a quick look at your post history and was surprised at how consistently you got them wrong.

But for sure, everyone gets some wrong. I don't see Kovalev beating Canelo, but maybe you'll be proved right on this one.

I really hope that Kovalev saves my reputation a little bit.

Tbf Crawford is that good he would make all these champions look like clowns.
I don't think he's not that good. Certainly didn't make the cripple Benavidez look like a clown. These current fighters are a lot better than the Indongos and Postols that were top dudes in the division. He'll be the favorite against any current champion, but I think it'd be a competitive fight no matter who he fights.

Think Ramirez while offensively very effective is also very open from what I've seen, can see Taylor picking some big shots inbetween his combinations and his aggression may work against him

I would favour Taylor. Better all round fighter with the better resume.

My biggest concern is that in the Postol, Baranchyk, and Prograis fights he has struggled to separate himself on the cards, and in a lot of the rounds. Postol and Prograis were razor thin victories.

If he fights Ramirez in the states he will need to do a better job of winning rounds clearly. It's unlikely he gets the benefit of the doubt away from home.

I think he could maybe have some joy fighting this fight at range, which should help.

I would prefer him to have a slightly easier fight first before taking this. His schedule has been crazy considering how few fights he's had.

A Ramirez lite would be ideal. Not sure if that person exists however. Will need to look at the rankings and refresh my memory.

If I'm remembering correctly, Ramirez is facing Postol in February. So summer 2020 is likely the earliest it will take place. But I could see it being held off until the end of next year, as Ramirez' other mandatory is Jack Catterall -- a fight which would be a good way of building his profile over here. Then this would also open up the possibility of Taylor-Ritson happening around the same time.

Taylor seems keen on this fight. Have watched/listened to a few interviews since the fight and he seems like he really wants to unify. (A lot of fighters talk this way, but I reckon he means it).

Tellingly, he has downplayed any potential match with Ritson, (who he speaks well of), until Ritson proves he belongs at World level. Prograis and Taylor have both also downplayed an immediate rematch.

You have to admire his desire to fight the best as soon as possible.

With Ramirez injured, and due to fight Postol however this might not happen next. So he might need to face a mandatory in between. Or find a decent voluntary.
