Josh Taylor to Adam Booth?

Rumors are that he has been training in Adam's gym.

Make sense as he has a flat in Battersea and Adam's gym in Purley is commutable, Adam also trains fellow Top Rank fighter Michael Conlan so obviously has a working relationship with Bob Arum to some extent.

Think it will be a good move considering the one flaw in Taylor is he sometimes deviates away from a gameplan due to his love of a scrap and we all know Booth's ability to get his fighters to stick to a strategy.

Good sparring with Josh Kelly

I think it will be a good move for him.

Booth is also pretty big on getting fighters to avoid shots, and taking too many shots is another flaw Taylor has.

Could be a good move.

Taylor confirmed this on the 5 Live boxing podcast this week.

He has done a week with Booth and a week with Ben Davison and enjoyed both.

He hasn't made his mind up yet, and is open to other coaches in the UK or US.

Just remembered Joyce has said he's left Booth hasn't he?

Any context to that?

Taylor to Booth is not a good move....

I rate Taylor very highly but he needs refining on defence & im not sure Booths “twitchy” movement for the sake of movement style is a good fit.

Hope he doesn't go to either tbh. Neither's style seems to fit Taylor.

I like Booth but he seems like he'd burn you out mentally. Too intense.

Sad thing is Shane Mac seemed the perfect trainer for Josh. Every fight building & bringing him closer to where he is now.

Shame his old man is so fucking dodgy.

Davison seems like a really good analytical coach. Not so much a motivator though. Then again, I've seen very little from Booth to suggest he's that great.

From what i've seen of Manny Robles, i'd think he'd be a better fit than the two mentioned. Taylor likes to press and be the aggressor, Robles mexican style would be more suited than Davison's approach. Plus he would be able to base himself in the States and get the fights he needs to get, whilst immersing himself in it all.
