Yafai with a generous defense
Dave Allen
Katie Taylor
Faffing on with Whyte then eventually announce a meh opponent 13 days out.

Granted I've lost a bit of interest in boxing but you surely can't tell me you are massively looking forward to any of the above fights and would go out of your way to make sure you caught it all - i know you do watch most fights and fair play, but there's not a Mitchell-Linares, Whyte-Chisora, Yafai-Conception or even Groves-Murray type fight on there.

I know Pulev is mandatory and will get a bigger purse than Molina, but this undercard is far worse than that undercard and i didn;t even consider that great at the time.
Johnson-buglioni is ultra competitive as is Allen-Thomas and helenius-whyte.

Couldn't care less about Katie Taylor but I can ignore that, the yafai fight I know nothing about the opponent but it's a world title defence and the main event is very credible.

Heavyweight is also my division and there's 3 relevant bouts so I'm happy.

It was never going to be Breazeale was it? Sure he's basic and he's slow but against Ugonoh he showed he's as tough as old boots and can turn a fight on it's head with one big shot after hanging in there. Whyte is very beatable Breazeale WOULD find his chin at some stage. If he can weather a massive storm from Ugonoh then he would 100% be able to do the same against Dillian. Dare I say it, it's actually a sensible move by Hearn to effectively call the fight off with what I am assuming was a derogatory offer.
No Dave it never was. He has as good a record as any top heavyweight, better than most. The Ugonough guy was being highly touted, and looked like beating Brezeale but got stopped. Mansour is a himself a guy who British promoters won't entertain but Brezeale bettered him. I personally think Whyte might beat Brezeale in the extremely unlikely event they ever thought but its far too risky for it ever to happen. Helens is not the fighter who lost to Chisora but got the decision. He has only fought once this year and is a few years older than Dillan. In other words the best opponent they can get away with and just about right in this country. Whyte might even get a stoppage here ad stay on track for his title shot. Objective achieved.

Agreed with this. Not stunning, but there's 5 fights there which are interesting to me.

Good night of boxing. Though you have to say these PPVs are definitely hurting the quality/quantity of SNFs
Yes 5 fights Thomas but well be very lucky if they all come off. 2 weeks to keep our fingers crossed is a long time.

We all know big Dave has sparred a lot if the best fighters in the world inc. Joshua and in shape Fury.

In fairness though he doesnt say when he sparred RH. If it was before injuries then it means a lot less.

Surely it was recently as Allen hasn't been at that level of sparring for years.

Joshua vs Pulev - excellent fight. I’d back Pulev against most in the division, including the likes of Ortiz tbh. Very good fight where I feel Joshua stops him around round 5 after being outboxed at times.

Yafai vs Ishida - don’t know too much about Ishida tbf, but anyone who’s undefeated after 24 fights at this weight having come through the Japenese scene can’t be bad. Kal is great to watch too.

Buglioni vs Johnson - very competitive fight and I’m looking forward to it. Fancy the wise guy to win on points but should be a good one.

Allen vs Thomas II - last one was a bit of a stinker but I really hope Dave has had a good camp and got his head right this time. Thomas is probably more skilled but if Dave has trained hard he should win this on work rate.

Katie Taylor - sounds harsh, but I couldn’t give a toss. No interest in women’s boxing whatsoever.

Whyte vs Helenius - would have been a decent enough fight had Helenius been given some notice. I hate how Eddie/Whyte constantly give their opponents 2/3 weeks notice. He has no interest in fighting a live opponent untill he gets an undeserved title shot. Helenius is a decent enough opponent at this stage but the 2 weeks notice and talk of Brezeale make this underwhelming.

It’s a pretty good card with an excellent main event. I feel Whyte vs Breazeale with a proper camp would have made it PPV worthy but I won’t be paying now. My casual mates want to go out for it so I’ll go out for a few beers and if it’s on it’s on.

Helenius was over sparring Joshua mid September, he’s been training.

They are but they were talking to Helenius 4-5 weeks ago, he was always gonna have a fight around this time whichever option he took.

The point I’m making is that he’s not been sat wanking to Scandinavian porn while Whyte has been in camp.
More’s the pity, that’s some damn good shit they got out there! Those swede’s...

Training and being in camp for a legit fight are night and day mate, as I’m sure you know.
He'll have knew about this fight long before now mate fights don't get done in a day do they? He'll have knew this was a possibility for a while now one would assume and he should be ready.

I've said this many a times on here including in a different thread tonight but if you're a professional fighter you should be in shape year round. It's literally your job.

If there's a big card coming up, and you know there's at least a decent possibility you're going to be fighting on it then get your arse in gear and get the sparring in or whatever you need to be ready

What's the worst that can happen? The fight doesn't come off and you've done a few weeks extra hard training than normal. No loss there

Look at Floyd Mayweather mate, when he was fighting I bet he could have boxed any weekend of the year. Professionalism and discipline

If Helenius steps in unfit or out of shape or whatever it's entirely his own fault and no one else's.

Granted, you can't spar hard all year round and you can't pay for sparring partners all year round (if you need to) but running is free and your diet is your own choice so any pro fighter who lets themselves get fat or unfit at any time it's their own fault and no one else's

I follow Whyte on Instagram and he's a work horse. He's in the gym every day 2-3 times a day grafting. Fight booked or not he's in there putting the work in. If his opponent doesn't do the same then that's not his problem.

Yafai's opponent is no pushover mate
