Absolutely!

I reckon Ortiz is a couple of levels better than Joyce in terms of ability, but I have a suspicion that Joyce both hits really hard and has a ridiculous chin on him. It doesn't matter how terrible your technique is, you're gonna be a problem if you have those two things.
What makes you think he has an excellent chin mate? He was banged out in a round a couple of times in the amateurs, including against Kuzmin who couldn’t put a dent in David Price.

He was stopped in 1 by Kuzmin, but he got up to be fair, and one KO loss does not mean your chin is poor, but it certainly suggests it's not a ridiculous McCall like chin.

Indeed, perhaps Joyce does not have a Chuvalo-like chin based on this evidence, but he didn't take the shot too badly. He looked fine when he got back up.

But yeah, maybe not George Chuvalo after all.
