Kell Brook is set to withdraw from fighting on the Anthony Joshua v Andy Ruiz Jr. bill next month.

Brook is hoping to land himself a big US opponent further down the line. He is also considering spending some time training across the Atlantic.

Opponent and timescale constraints are set to put a block on hopes of an appearance at Madison Square Garden, though.

Brook will instead concentrate on securing a top name for later this summer. Terence Crawford and Danny Garcia are among the targets.

Brook's a non-entity at this stage.

Without Khan he cant top a show that his own promoter would want to put on..

Brook should have always been fighting good fighters. After beating Porter he should have fought Thurman. This is the problem with boxing. You need to strike why the iron is hot otherwise this happens. Same that's happening with Lomachenko now. Guy's primes being wasted fighting guys a lot inferior to them.

Part of the problem is there are too many low risk paydays available to too many.

Whenever I see boxing news stories such as this now the first thing I think to myself is "I wonder what the truth is".

That's how boxing's made me. :sad5
Man after my own heart mate. I said when it was rumoured he was on the card that he wouldn't be. I knew he got a lot of money for GGG but if he hadn't took that fight he might now be an ex double weight world champion. Instead he talks about challenging for tittles at a weight he's said for ages he struggles at. Im afraid his days are numbered. The nest time he fights anybody half decent he will lose, and it won't be in America.
I only hope he doesn't get permanently hurt doing it.

Yeah but at least Loma is picking up titles in the process.

According to an interview with WBN Khan is planning a fight in the Middle East, later this year once he recovers from his elbow surgery....and has no plans to fight Brook until the summer of next year.

So everytime Brook and Hearn think they have Khan cornered and he has no where else to go...the dimwit from Bolton pulls some other fight out of the bag.

Khan is probably just stringing Brook along, same way Mayweather strung him along.

In that case Brook is gonna be left with little choice but to take a tougher fight with either Crawford or Liam Smith.
