Brook about to retire lol his whole career was waiting for a Khan fight and now khan just got lucky getting paid £7m to fight this random guy theres no need for a Brook fight after, what a waste of a career Brook could have became world champ at 154 too still think he would have beat Thurman and Danny Garcia

Amir must just piss himself at how desperate Brook is to get that payday fight, whilst his name alone gets him a £7m payday vs a nobody. Shame Amir isn’t brighter, you could have SO much fun with Brook on Twitter if you were that way inclined (and didn’t have the IQ of a sandwich!).

WBN is a bullshit source. They haven’t a clue.

Good for him. Nothing left to prove, nothing in it for him in being Khan besides money. Had both orbital bones broken I believe and everyone world class besides Khan would beat him. He knows this and knows about the only big name he can beat at this point is Khan. 40 fights and 2 losses. I think he goes out a winner at the end of the day.

Fighting Golovkin was a huge mistake though and had he stayed at WW he'd probably have beaten them all and moved up to 154 at the right time. He was too eager to get all the glory in beating Golovkin while he should have stayed at 147. Before GGG there was no indication that he'd beat him anyways, no rivalry, he had no business jumping to MW so it was just a bad move.

Retirement is a smart move.

Find this hard to believe, he’s just used a lawyer to get out of a contract, not sure if management or promotional but either way what would be the point if he was finishing?

I’d prefer him to retire if he can’t get the Khan fight. No point risking his eyes unless it’s huge money when you’ve already been a world champ & have millions in the bank

Personally I think the GGG fight was a stupid & prideful reaction to Khan shocking everyone with the Canelo fight. Anything you can do I can do better.

For Brook it’s always been about the “Khan cashout”, at least since nearly getting his leg hacked off! Which is a brutal thing to come back from, let alone fight world class professional fighters!

That’s something that often gets overlooked With Brook though. I guess maybe it’s because there has never been a plausible explanation for how it happened and it’s all a little odd, but to come back from that and compete at the top level again is a big achievement.

I think he’ll be one to really regret how his career went,

Was defo some gay shit going on though, nobody just randomly tries to cut your leg off.

I doubt this is true....no one else has reported WBN have not mentioned a source.

In anycase should be more rigorous in calling out Crawford in the media. If he is indeed serious about fighting him.

He is highly ranked at 154lb mandatory with 2 organisations.

Might as well see your career through to the end...Instead of following the usual route of retiring then coming back a couple of years later.

In anycase for a fighter of his talent a disappointing career overall should have gone down as one of the greats....And made alot more money then he has.

In that case maybe Kell Brook might be signing with Top Rank or PBC.

Certainly more options and opportunitys with Uncle Al Haymon considering he controls most of the top fighters at Welterweight and Jnr Middleweight.

Then again perhaps Uncle Bob Arum made him a financial offer he could not refuse.

He does not have that many millions...so best option is to cash out best he can.
