Kell Brook is set to withdraw from fighting on the Anthony Joshua v Andy Ruiz Jr. bill next month.

Brook is hoping to land himself a big US opponent further down the line. He is also considering spending some time training across the Atlantic.

Opponent and timescale constraints are set to put a block on hopes of an appearance at Madison Square Garden, though.

Brook will instead concentrate on securing a top name for later this summer. Terence Crawford and Danny Garcia are among the targets.

Well probably a good thing if that happens Hearn never gave the kind of promotional backing he should have to Brook....Just made him fight loads of eliminators to become manadatory for Porter.

Even with Mccloskey Hearn brought over name opponents in Prescott and Demarcus Corley...Could have done the same for Brook. Instead chose to market him of Khans name.

For a while Kell Brook was the main name at matchroom soon as AJ started making waves....Kell Brook became the ugly stepchild and got relegated.

Crawford is 35 fights into his career, 13 of those 'world' title fights across three divisions, and he has yet to have a truly defining bout. Gamboa and Postol are up there, but it's still a pretty lacklustre record for someone contending the P4P #1 spot. A fight with Brook would continue the trend.

It also continue the trend of picking the right opponent. Think about, just beat Khan and fight Brook next. He could do it in England if he wanted, but no doubt he'd gain even more British and European fans. On top of that, Kell Brook is the most beatable WW with the biggest name. Twice broken orbital bones, surgery, and after years at WW is probably the most depleted of them all. He's the perfect opponent right now.
