I mean if/when he's in tip top shape he's 1 or 2 divisions lower whether he wants it or not?

It hurts seeing him waste his talent with his current team - will never reach his full potential.
Well he's missed weight more than once at both 130 and 135 and lost his belt as a result on one of those occassions, I understand what you're saying is that that's because he didn't train properly and whilst that's likely true given his height and age, usually you get found out in the ring if you cut corners. LSC and Barrios sure didn't cut any corners but they both still suffered their first KO loss at Tank's hands so the question is if it's working why change it?

Just a word on his current team, did you notice Mayweather speaking to Tank at the end of the 10th? Ford couldn't get a word in despite his best efforts to get Tank to listen to him, that whole minute he took instructions from Floyd only

Being undisciplined is negative by definition regardless of whether you're getting away with it or not, IMO. It's no good.

I noticed that and thought it was retarded the way and when he did that. To subtly relay that info to someone in the corner, sure. Right in the middle when Tank is trying to catch his breath for 50 seconds and to then get angry at Davis and give him spiel? What an insane retarded asshole.

I dissagree strongly.

Sure, Floyd is all about Floyd, and he kind of hogged the spotlight there. - But he had to do SOMETHING. Davis' corner was doing fukall for the entire fight. They were barely giving him any feedback at all. It was more like" sit down son & relax. Breath deep. Everything's going as planned. Yeah.... chill.... yeah ...."

I dunno' what fight they were watching, but Tank was in serious danger of losing a decision. Floyd basically said "You're losing the damned fight. Get out there and throw more punches."

And it worked.

I heavily disagree.

Floyd "basically" did not say that at all. Floyd only got unnecessarily upset after Davis via question wanted to confirm that he was behind on "the unofficial".

If Floyd thinks Davis' team is that bad he should get him a new/other one.

And Davis didn't throw more punches after that at all - he threw a right hook which hurt Barrios and he went for the kill after which he always does.

For sure and that's indisputable, ill-discipline in boxing at world championship level can't ever be beneficial and you'd expect that if he lacks discipline and conditioning then eventually he'll come unstuck but if he's this good without proper discipline it might need a Josh Taylor to show him up.

I'd prefer if Mayweather kept quiet altogether once the first bell sounds, very disrespectful to the training team, those 60 seconds are all they have and Floyd just ate them up. Since my last post though I've heard that Mayweather tried to get Tank to leave Ford previously but Ford is like a father to Tank and took him from the gutter to the world title so for Tank apparently a change was out of the question, reminded me of the relationship between Yarde and Ajayi in that sense, always good to see a bit of loyalty

That's how I saw it too at the time so was miffed to find that one judge only gave Barrios 1 round and all of them had Davis up comfortably at the end of the 10th, Barrios was about to get turned over something royal, he's probably happier that he got knocked out at least there's no unanswered questions

DIagree all you want.

Floyd literally told Davis
"On the unofficial scorecard, you're down. I've got to be honest with you, that's what you want from me. That's what you want from me, you don't want nobody lying to you. I'm 100 with you. It's the unofficial. That's my job, I'm 100 with you."

And the cornermen looked stunned.

The the official punch stat numbers for total Davis punches landed, by round, are:
3
2
3
3
12
9
10
20
4
Then Floyd steppe in. then:
17
- and finally 13 in just 2 minutes. (And all power punches)

Here's power punches thrown:
9
3
10
7
22
18
18
31
4
Then Floyd steppe in. then:
35
- and finally 13 in just 2 minutes.

Davis had been practically asleep for most of the fight. A small flurry in round 8, then he took round 9 off.
