There was another modern one I took my kid too a few years back, Paranorman or something like that... Tim Burton flick about a girl who was murdered by redneck townsfolk for being a witch and now haunted the town and wanted revenge on the place. I got halfway through it and started panicking she'd be having nightmares for a week.
Breh, I don't do horror movies at all. I don't even care about the targeted demographics.

There's quite a few on Netflix these days, we've actually sat and watched Ponyo, Howl's Flying Castle, Spirited Away and My Neighbour Totoro so far ... they all have disturbing moments tbh.
Yeah, they do. Some great moments as well though.

I loved Pinocchio as a child but when I watched it as an adult I found it pretty creepy. Don't remember specifics but I do remember thinking 'how was I not a bit freaked out by this as a kid?'

The Fox and the Hound is movie I've only ever watched once when I was very young, like maybe 5-6years old. But I remember crying at it and thinking it was way too sad to ever watch again. Lion King I must have watched a hundred times, but The Fox and the Hound sat at the back of the cupboard never to see the light of day again.

Pinocchio and a bunch of other boys are lured onto an island and encouraged to drink, smoke cigars, and gamble.

This makes all the boys turn into donkeys. I think this is so the bad guy can use them as cheap labour.

Castle Duckula.
Lot's of really fucked up films already mentioned. I always thought Krull was fucked up with the dude who knew when he was going to die, that really got me thinking.

Only Brits of a certain age will know this one, but The Boy From Space was a serialised drama that was played over several episodes on a kids TV programme aimed at 6-11 year olds. I was 8 at the time, gave me fucking nightmares.
