Any other UK dwellers feeling this burn? It's pitch black outside and I feel like i'm in SE Asia!
Got bright red arms because I was sitting out on the front of my brownstone all day yesterday (11am - 10pm). Shoulda had a pair of shorts on. Went to bed at 3am and it was fucking hot.

English heat is fucking awful. Always has been, always will be. It's steaming hot in the daytime when it's hot (very infrequently) and the heat at night time is the same kind of clammy heat you get when you get off a plane at JFK, dirty street heat which you can't sleep in.

Today has been a little cooler, but then I didn't sit out in it as I was working doing stuff inside. It feels shit now, clammy. It's 23:35ish. I fucking hate summer.

I feel sure from past experience that summer in San Diego is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> summer in England.

whats the actual temp,if I may be so bold?

84f here right now and the sun is about down..............75% humidity which is making it nasty ...........

not yet june :sad
Dude when i went to Disneyworld back in 2002 Florida was hitting record high temps, two of the days we were in the Magic Kingdom park the temps were hitting 102+ and it was raining cats and dogs. We were wearing ponchos in the park, getting rained on by hot water, and sweating our asses off ala Richard Simmons. I have not returned to Florida since then.

Try summer in Yolo. Flat as fuck, no wind whatsoever because no major bodies of water around, even the goddamn shade is hot, and it goes anywhere from 100 degrees Fahrenheit to 115 degrees Fahrenheit, all the while the local government debating on a day to day basis whether to start rolling electrical blackouts cause too many people are using their air conditioners to keep cool. It's really fucked here every 2 - 3 summers. It feels as bad as Palm Springs for christs sake. :sad5

I never got to Chico Corrales land. I wish I would have as he's a hero. I can imagine it's fucking steaming hot given Yolo being relatively inland in such a hot part of the world. You get the sea/coastish heat, but not the breeze, right? As stated earlier, I don't know the area, but from your description Deebo it sounds like a tame Death Valley!!!

Not as bad as Death Valley as we actually have lots of vegetation and small streams/rivers and shit which it doesn't. I rode through there decades ago, that place is hellish cause there's nothing but sand, rocks, dirt and boulders. Truly terrible place in summer. You know that whole crack an egg on a Death Valley rock and watch it fully cook within seconds? That shit is real.

We're told not to bother (in some travel writing) with Death Valley unless you're with a local/native who knows his shit. I wouldn't go there, I don't think. Supposed to be hotter than most hot places.

On a slightly related note we were also warned about going over the border from San Diego to Tijuana, Mexico for different reasons - crime, theft etc. I did, but I went over with some kid who was at UCSD and knew his California shit. Made me leave most of my cash on the US side and my credit card too. That was a trip to remember.

* laughs in Australian *
What puts me off about Australian and NZ women (I'm off on a tangent for a while) is that they don't strike me as being good in the sack. They seem to me like they wouldn't be game for dirty shit. Having never been to either place I could be wrong, it's just an impression I get. Strange. Dannii Minogue is an exception. She'd be a demon between the sheets.

Never been to the fine state of Florida. Always fancied the Keys, would avoid Disney like the plague.

Australia never interested me, nor NZ (though I'd go for the cricket), and the tameness of their women just puts me off more.

ya really need to pick an off the beaten path kinda place if ya just want to chill in the sun on the sand,eh?

luckily the beach is,almost literally, endless all the way round the state.............

personally Id like to see NZ..................Australia quite a bit less,if Im honest............

Apparently FL averages about 90 degrees 24/7/365 according to some sources. I bet spring break is fun down there. Could take in a Gators game too (though obviously not in Spring) - remember circa 1996 when Gators and Seminoles were pretty much evenly matched, the Danny Weurffell (sp?) time. That was so sweet. I watched the championship game when I was in Newark, NJ (birthplace of the man who beat SRL and then retired from boxing soon after seemingly because of corrupt media-enhanced judges ringside). That time was ace for college footy.

NZ would be fun for rugby if it's your thing. Apparently the All Blacks are fucking ace. I know nothing about rugby, be it in any country.

Chinese accents are odd. I don't know if they're different over here as I've never been to China, but there's something not right there.

edit: COMPLETELY WRONG THREAD.

Grey, windy, and feels like it's going to rain here.

I actually like this weather though. It's warm enough for shorts, (if you're tough), but cool and refreshing enough to be active. The air also feels full of promise.
