There will never come a time where soccer is anything here in the USA but a sport played by little guys too weak too small too slow to play a real game like football. But......girls can play soccer, as can old folks in an old folks league.

Real men play football here in the USA.
Football as you know it is a dead man walking. You think this CTE issue is going away?

Nobody is a fan of guys getting hurt, so safety is a good thing. We will always have the NFL, the most exciting sport on the globe played by the greatest athletes.

We are already seeing far less dangerous hits. That will continue.

Larry Allen can bench 700 pounds
100 NFLers can run a sub 9.5/10.40
A dozen can long jump over 25 feet
A dozen can run a sub 14.00 110hh
A dozen can run a sub 48 400m

Soccer, rugby has nothing like that.

You know what will continue, and gain speed?

Mums not letting their schoolboy sons rack up multiple concussions before they're even physically mature. 20 years ago, there was basically no understanding or public awareness of CTE as a real problem at all. You really think that 20 years from now, the game will look the same?

Anyway, 20 pages of this thread and with all your...... ahem....... "knowledge"........ you still haven't figured out the major difference between rugby and the NFL that makes a 0.6 second faster 40 yard time in a 1v1 matchup a huge advantage for a cornerback, and virtually meaningless for a rugby winger.

I have a football magazine, Lindy's 2020 College Football Preview, they break down over 500 colleges, then there are all those JC;s, how many thousands of HS ''s playing football, we will always have plenty of players, that will never be a any problem at all.

I also have a mag on the NFL season, every team with 100 players if we count who is on the team today trying to get a job,

THEN.....there is the CFL and all those players.

Football will be with us forever.

Don't care about all that stuff about rugby, the bottom line is NFL players are bigger, faster, stronger and can do more things.

Not sure any of that has to do with what these thread is actually about that being the NFL has better athletes playing the game than any other sport. All that stuff you are talking about means nothing.

Do you disagree that NFL players are the best athletes playing a team sport?
Absolutely.

For the very reasons I’ve mentioned and those that you’ve just quoted.

Niche sport, relative to others.

Small talent pool, relative to others.

Only taken seriously within one country.

Exceptionally easy to reach the top, relative to others.

Can be taken up later on in life by those who couldn’t make it in other sports, and still get to the top level in American Fatball.

All of these are absolute facts, and that doesn’t even touch upon the rampant obesity epidemic blighting the sport.

80 countries play American football, CANADA has a pro league.....so wrong.

HUGE talent pool, with millions playing football every season.....so wrong.

Only....1%....of HS footballers with play NFL football, so it's very very hard to make it,....so wrong.

Nobody is failing in one sport then moving to football, so wrong.

Dude, don't have any clue at al do you?

Here ya go slugger

64 member

The International Federation of American Football (IFAF) counts 64 member nations spanning North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania, all of which have their own federations dedicated solely to American-style football

So as usual you have no clue what you are trying to talk about.

80 countries play American football,
The more you repeat this trying desperately to pretend like ANYONE outside of the continental US gives a fuck about American football, the dumber you sound.

Soccer has a huge talent pool.

Cricket does too.

Basketball as well.

NFL? :rofl

Only....1%....of HS footballers with play NFL football, so it's very very hard to make it,....so wrong.
1%?

That's pretty high.

There are 1.3 billion Indians, and every single one of them is a cricket fanatic. What % of cricket living Indian schoolboys do you think ever get to play top level cricket?

You don’t understand what ‘relative to others’ means, do you?

Every country in the world plays real football. A sport like cricket, which you’ve probably never seen, is played in over 100 countries, with far more participants than American Fatball

Approximately 5m people in the US play American Fatball. Approximately 240m people in the world play real football. We have a talent pool close to 50 times as big.

It’s relatively easy to make it compared to other sports and yes, people do fail in other sports and then make it in American Fatball. I’ve already given you the name of a guy from my hometown, who sucked at rugby at amateur level who made it in the NFL....after picking up the sport at the ripe old age of 16.

,.....so yes other countries give a fuck about American football, yep......you are wrong!

There are only 32 NFL teams, now think just a little bit,. ok? There aren't plenty of potential players out there? Sure there is more than enought.
