Former MMA fighter Clay Collard ( who looks absolutely terrible, one of the worst stylists I've seen in a long time) has just taken the scalp of another unbeaten "prospect" David Kaminsky. I don't get it? The guy has beaten Quashawn Toler (9-0-0, ), Rayond Guajardo (6-0-0) ans now David kaminsky (6-0-0), yet he looks absolutely hopeless?? How much are young "prospects" getting bummed up nowadays? And what standard of opposition are they getting in their early fights, when bums like Collard can beat 3 fighters with 21 wins and ZERO defeats between them??

^ I haven't seen Collard fight, but he only has a 16.67% KO percentage. I would thus assume he's getting a lot of gifts.
His team must have serious juice.

Apparently some foolhardy soul has placed $187 Grand on Gabe Flores Jnr to beat Josec Ruiz to win just over $ 4 Grand at 1/33. Should collect, but rather him than me at that price!! :patsch

Collard can rough them up, don't get me wrong. I just think that some young fighters are getting it too easy early on. A 6-0-0 or 9-0-0 prospect should have enough nous to outsmart a slugger who stands square in front of them with poor technique and no head movement.

Maybe I'm too harsh on some of these guys, But I have watched a hell of a lot of fighters over the years, and I look for high standards for fighters to be considered real prospects.

I'm liking the Horsely kid. (fighting Rodriguez now) He may be unexperienced, but he's fast & aggressive, and looks to have excellent power.

I doubt he'll win, but he's fun to watch.

Ruiz's record is padded as hell. Flores is fast, has a good jab. And, when he times it right, can throw a mean left hook. Flores only stopped one opponent in has last 11 fights, hence the odds against a stoppage, but I have a feeling he might stop Ruiz. maybe worth a wager at the price.

Mexi,

Flores Jr vs Ruiz (Coming up now) looks like it could be excellent, despite Hands opinion of Ruiz. Sometimes a great opponent brings out the best in a guy. I've seen a few of Ruiz's fights and I think he's very credible. Good defense.

You might wanna' play hooky for a half hour !

I don't like the way that Flores drops his left hand. Might get away with it at this level, but it could cost him dear as he steps up.

Ruiz looks like the bigger puncher to me. Towards the end, looks like he got a few good ones.

Yeah, fuck it, @Cableaddict, reaching that threshold where I just can't do anymore for today. Will be on fumes, but I want to watch this fight at least.

Looks like @Hands got it right. Ruiz' defense is good as always, (IMO) but Flores Jr looks incredibly sharp. Nice defensive footwork, too.
