Do I think there was a major flood, and a guy built an ark? Probably. Do I think that there were two of every animal? Of course not.

I take the story as a lesson about preparing and taking steps to insure yourself against future potential calamities. Build up your resources and talk to God.
And that there are two motherfucking genders, he didn’t pack in two of every animal and then another obese one with blue hair that thinks it’s gender fluid.

Noah ark maybe be a fairy tale but pretty much every ancient culture has tales passed down on apocalyptic floods happening in pre-history
I'm not googling this so I might be off.

But one theory is the very earliest example of Civilization occured around the black sea.

The black sea had a huge flood...and that entered folk lore/memory.

Also....annual flooding of major river systems that supported early civilizations...tigris and euphrates, the Nile, Yellow River....

I believe in symmetry, if a fat disgusting immoral turd like you exists then there has to be a counter balance.

Thing is Dealt...

When you lash out like this...I don't see an aggressive grown man with a nipple ring...

I see a scared little boy who has already implicitly realized his mother does not love him.

You took the responsibility by having her live under your roof, moron. The opposite would be the lesbian having custody, yet paying YOU to be a part time father. Do you honestly believe that something like that would ever happen?

Who would ever be so idiotic as to accept a two-fold loss?

If you've given your ex 100k, it means that you have cheated yourself out of 200k, you meathead SOB. And a significant portion of that money isn't even being used on your child.

SMH...

But I digress. Back to Noah.
:rofl

What in the actual fuck are you blabbering about?

Get back to your fairy tales, man.

What I don't understand is why people get so caught up in the religious aspect of the Arc story rather than the history of so many references to a great flood and mass extinctions from multiple historical resources.

It's like way more people are convinced now than ever before that there actually is/was a lost city/civilization of Atlantis. But this is because there's no religious affiliate attached to it that goes against the interests of any other religious groups. No religious interests = more easily believable.

Actually the Black Sea Deluge is often cited as a source for both Atlantis and the various flooding stories.

People believe in a lot of shit. Bigfoot, Yeti, Loch Ness Monster, Skunk Apes, Mothman, Rougarou from the swamps of La., shape shifters, ancient aliens, flat earth, etc., etc.

There seems to be no limit to what folks buy into, and the folks that do their best to sell the story.

Now, Atlantis was real-------

Although most believe the Atlantis myth likely grows out of the collapse of the Minoan Civilization.

All the land was gone, including the ice. Otherwise lots of animals would’ve survived.
Ice is frozen water, not actual land, and it would've floated regardless of how high the sea level was.

And besides, animals did survive - the ones that could survive in water.

I think the vast majority of fish would’ve died. Certain marine species can tolerate a bit of freshwater, and vice versa, but most would have died.
