While some in the future who watch that fight knowing the result might downplay it, watching two bangers chucking bombs at each other live was fantastic. Congratulations WBSS, they have put on some of the best fights in boxing for the last two years.

Great fight. It has been talked about as the biggest Asian boxing fight of all time, and the action certainly lived up to it. 116-111 seemed a fair reflection of the contest; Inoue really cemented the victory in those last three rounds. I know some will be critical of him after that for not meeting the expectations pre-fight, but Inoue answered plenty of questions people aimed his way -- could he take a big shot, can he fight through adversary, can he handle the pace when under pressure against the naturally bigger man -- and he did so positively.

But Donaire, man, what a fighter. If that is the end, that's a great way to bow out.

Yep and credit to Inoue that shot would have took out a lot boxers at bantamweight he gutted it out.
Yeah, but like I said earlier: Donaire's hand speed is not what it once was, hence his power is not what it once was.

But massive credit to him, of course, for even landing it. What balls, to take the fight right to the monster.
What a fight!
