Days After Taking Money from Big Pharma, Bucshon Criticized Trump’s Drug Price Disclosure Rule

Bucshon's recent donors include the PACs of drug companies that sued the government to block the disclosure rule.

Last week, Rep. Larry Bucshon (R-Ind.) told The Hill that he had concerns with a Trump administration proposal to require pharmaceutical companies to disclose the cost of their drugs in television ads.

“Putting just the list price on a television ad, for example, doesn’t help the consumer very much, because it’s a very complicated process,” he said. “I do have some concerns about providing information to the consumer.”

What Bucshon did not say is that just a few days earlier he had received campaign contributions from two pharmaceutical companies that sued the government, successfully, to block the rule.

Health insurance, paid sick leave and a living wage is for libtard faggits. Next you'll be crying about wanting a lunch break and extra pay for overtime hours, you libtard faggit. Did you ever stop for one second to think that successful wealth creator Jeff Bezos doesn't actually WANT to give you a lunchbreak? That it's more efficient for him and he makes more money if you just work for 8 hours straight through, with no breaks at all? And that you shouldn't be getting sick anyway, because you being sick doesn't raise the value of his stock portfolio, which as a peasant is your purpose for existing? Whose side are you even on anyway, you Communist Socialist libtard faggit? :patsch

After Record Fundraising Haul From Big Pharma, McConnell Vows to Block Drug Pricing Bill

The bill is backed by both Trump and Pelosi, so McConnell is standing in the way of a major bipartisan breakthrough that could lower drug prices for millions of Americans.

On Sept. 20, President Donald Trump made a rare display of bipartisanship, tweeting in support of a bill from Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) that would require Medicare to begin negotiating the prices of some drugs.

“It’s great to see Speaker Pelosi’s bill today,” Trump tweeted. “Let’s get it done in a bipartisan way!”

But for the bill to pass through Congress and reach Trump’s desk, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has to buy in, too. McConnell said on Sept. 19 that he plans to block the bill from receiving a vote in the Senate, essentially spelling its doom.

“Socialist price controls will do a lot of left-wing damage to the health care system. And of course we’re not going to be calling up a bill like that,” McConnell told Politico.

Medical Staffing Companies Cut Doctors’ Pay While Spending Millions on Political Ads

While cutting benefits for emergency room doctors and other medical workers, TeamHealth and Envision have spent millions on ads meant to pressure politicians working on legislation to cap out-of-network costs for Americans.

You should be asking him if he wants to pay his warehouse workers at all, or if paying wages "would start to hurt his business."

Perhaps if Amazon workers weren't paid actual money at all, but rather slept in company dosshouses, wore Amazon-brand sack cloth garments to work, and ate a cupful of company-supplied Amazon protein mush before and after their 16 hour workday, that would help Amazon perform better?

Has anyone in government even bothered to go to Bezos and politely ask him if maybe he wouldn't prefer something like that? I mean, that would increase his businesses' profits and make him much much richer, and therefore America and ALL Americans win, right Pete?

Vance, a Trapper Boy, 15 years old. Has trapped for several years in a West Va. Coal mine. $.75 a day for 10 hours work.
All he does is to open and shut this door: most of the time he sits here idle, waiting for the cars to come. On account of the intense darkness in the mine, the drawings on the door were not visible until plate was developed. 1908

That's the dream, right @HumansSuck? No stupid liberal bullshit labour laws, no stupid safety or environmental regulations. Just pure, unrestrained pursuit of short-term profit for the owner above every single other consideration, just the way God intended. Why should little Vance be in school getting an education and learning how to socialise, when he could be spending his entire childhood sitting in a pitch black, sweltering hot hellhole, getting black lung for 75 cents a day? Why, maybe someday little Vance ended up owning this mine! (Spoiler - he didn't.)
