Here's a handy dandy of playlist of newbie friendly vids

Also, I realize a fair few of those are related to combat, but the movement tips will help you whether you want to engage in that or not. Plus, sometimes you get jumped and have no choice but to engage in at least evasive maneuvers if nothing else.

This is a really good method of making money, which is how I got all my big fuck off ships, bonus in that it doesn't involve any combat.

I've been wondering when this would get announced! But in my opinion you're doing it from the wrong station-- Robigo Mines in a Python is better. I made 25 to 30 million each trip (takes 10 minutes and usually requires no board flipping) if ya choose the cash reward, but usually I use it to get BC/MEF/EFC 5 at a time and the pay is about 12 million a trip when choosing that reward. All economy cabins, and the largest party size is only 16 with the best pay being 4.95 million (it used to go up to 8 million in 2.4, but 3.0 changed that).

In 2.4 you also had to board flip, so thankfully with the new stations it's spawning a lot of these missions so no board flipping required unless you're going for a specific material/data. These high paying missions to Sirius Atmospherics from Robigo have been in the game since November, and when I started doing them the system got around 12 people a day (I would re-visit Robigo in the hopes of long range smuggling missions coming back; in 2.4 there was a bug where those fail on scan smuggling missions would spawn immediately after the server shutdown for the weekly tick so I'd rush over and do some before they went away after a few hours). Now the system gets 700 ships, so I assumed word spread (I didn't wanna blow it so I never said nuthin'). You can use a Conda for Hauser's Reach of course, and still get G5 materials, but I don't believe the extra cabin(s?) make up for the difference in pay and how most of the Robigo Mines missions offer 5 materials (as opposed to 3 at Hauser's Reach normally).

CMDR Plater, I'd love it if ya used your position as a prominent Elite Youtuber to get on Frontier's case about bringing smuggling missions back! It's ridiculous that they're so shitty in the game, and the old long range missions were the best. EDIT: Also, Robigo Mines is an Anarchy, so no worries about scans leaving and entering the station.

Played the original on ps2 and loved it so ill be looking forward to this. David Duchovny who voiced the character brought a lot of humor to the game. The PS2 was a great system!

Waiting on patches. Apparently the PC port is absolute dog shit. Which figures, as the injustice and mkx ports were dog shit too. As were half the arkham games. It's become quite clear WB couldn't possibly give any less of a shit about the PC market being as their only good PC ports have been Injustice 2 and the first arkham game. No excuse for it really, as for most of the last decade the vast majority of PC ports are good.

The patch already dropped. The frame data is in line with PS4, AA has been fixed, and there are no longer crashes in the menus.

The PC version is fine now, the only reason it will continue to get bad reviews is because of the grind of having to unlock skins etc through The Krypt. Online will be better by virtue of the fact most people on PC are wired. ...So you've ran out of excuses my man.

Excuses, lol. Bro, if you dive into this shit like you did with DBZ you're going to wreck me regardless. 1. I'm a tekken dude first and foremost. 2. I'm only decent at tekken cause tekken is so ridiculously iterative that shit from tekken 2 still works for characters that were around back then. Even if I were to buy it today, I'm gonna play, at most a few hours a week cause I tend to jump from game to game as opposed to just throw hours and hours and hours at a single game. No need to build it up, I'm fully expecting to get stomped whenever we get around to playing. :)

Haha. Fair enough.

I'm on a 10 win streak online at the minute, but I've only played 15 hours. On DBFZ I think I was at like...30 hours by this stage. Currently at 1300+ hours played on that. I'm a madman.

p.s.

according to a lot of people in this thread, the patch isn't working as advertised. If I can get the game cheap on the grey market I'll get it, but WB can fuck right off if they think i'm gonna pay full price for another bad port

Well I can attest to the fact that AA improvement has drastically improved the look of the game. I can also attest to the fact that I have not experienced one crash whilst in the menus once since the update dropped. Outside of that, all of the other things are...lets be honest...inconsequential.

You think console and PC having different frame data is inconsequential? Cause they're saying, it's been tested and certain console combos are still not working on PC cause the data is busted.

Relatively yes, considering that NRS have been explicit with their intentions to bring parity between console and PC. I was not aware that the frame data had not been changed though, I assumed it had. But it released on Monday, we are now on Saturday and already most of the issues have been addressed. If the frame data has not been addressed by this next week, I will eat my hat. But the hyperbole in gaming threads are hysterical. One guy saying what is the point of even owning the game at this point, because the frame data has not been updated along with PS4, when it released on Monday.

I was hoping we could have some long sets but it sounds like you aint going all that hard with MK11. Disappointing my man.
