Show dem balls bro
Let me know how it is. I might get it for psvr
They changed the game totally with the update. Honestly I think I'll have to relearn the game on my PC Steam copy then try again in VR once I understand what I'm doing. Totally gorgeous game though in VR. PS4 Pro does not seem to show any latency or frame rate issues yet. Had they come out with this at release it would have gotten so many more people on the VR bandwagon.

gonna actually get a switch

Red dead 2 pissed me off when i shot some bloke in a bar by accident
Zelda - i just have the expansion pack left and ive nearly done that

so mario on the switch looks like the best option - surprised at the price of the thing tho.
Bloodstained is good, made by the same guy who did Castlevania and it plays like it. It is on switch but it gets a little laggy sometimes.
Smash is solid if you like smash games.
Mario kart is fun, same with Mario party (some sort of inebriated and friends may be necessary here)
Odyssey is well made.

Fuck yeah I got that week off too!! :happy:happy:happy
The development of no man's sky impresses the hell out of me. It's free too. One of gaming best redemption stories.

Still yet to play it though

It's all about Minecraft at the minute.

Started playing with the Nephew but now I'm addicted and want to ditch him.

Great game to play high as fuck.

Just had a look at the plague game. A Plague Tale: Innocence it's called. Looks decent.

Gears 5 this friday - they are doing a deal 2 months of Game Pass Ultimate for £2 so you get to play Gears 5 for 2 months with that then it will go back to £10.99 but you can cancel it any time

I've been all about Tomb Raider recently, played the original in the latest reboot a couple years back and had played about half of Rise of the Tomb Raider, so after I completed that I moved on to Shadow of the Tomb Raider which is another great game. They're a bit samey but great fun to play and cinematic as fuck, I really like the Lara Croft character as she is now... I read some reviews which whinge about her being too introspective and blah blah, that she's not the same character she once was.

Fine but the character she once was had zero personality and was basically a pair of tits, her character development from Tomb Raider to Tomb Raider 2 was basically more rounder tits.

These are underrated single player story driven games for me, which is a bit of a throwback compared to the RNG surprise mechanics micro-transaction riddled, shoe-horned in multiplayer bullshit money grabbing crap we've come to expect.

That it is. Doubt I would enjoy it as much now but it's the goat rts for sure.
I've come back to it a few times over the years and still really enjoy it. Especially with all the new civs/campaigns and maps.

It just comes down to time nowadays, no way I can sink the hours in like I used to.

I played the new COD: MW beta at the weekend and by golly gumshields, Infinity Ward might just have gone and made an actual good COD... Ranking system was fun, kill streaks (not scorestreaks) were good, the movement/mantling is fluid, time to kill is perfect, no heal syringe, real weapons ... I was very impressed.

Which is the first in at least 3 games (BO4, WW2 and IW were all trash IMO) but other than a few balancing tweaks and maybe sorting out the camping fucks sat in windows at the other end of the map with a FAMAS, it was a very good throwback COD. I have high hopes.

One thing I did notice though was I seemed to get a bit of Xbox performance lag, I seen that it lists the game as Xbox One X optimised... so does anyone know if there are worthwhile performance increases vs the original Xbox One with the X ?

I might just upgrade in time for this game if there is.

@TFG ... did you get a chance to play the Beta and what did you think?

I was hoping for a return to form with BO4 but it turned out to be the least I've ever played a Call of Duty, never even prestiged once on it. I've pre-ordered MW based on the Beta though.

I played all weekend and come away with a lot of mixed feelings.

I really like the feel, gunplay and movement. The animations and sounds have went from being the worst in class to the best and it definitely still feels like COD.

The problem is that the beta was a complete shitshow. The map design is some of the worst I've seen in Call of Duty and massively promotes camping. No matter where you go there are 16 different places you can be shot from, usually fucking windows. The fact they initially removed the minimap proves that this was there intention from the get go.

It completely fucks the flow of the game, even on 10v10 you could do a couple of laps of the map and not bump into anyone because there#s so much verticality. If they made the maps the same way they did in MW2, prioritizing three lanes, the game could be amazing.

Think of Fevela, no matter where you were on that map, you never had more than 2/3 angles you could be shot from, and it promoted head on 50/50 gun fights.

I don't mind the ttk, I prefer a longer one as it creates a bigger skill gap, but after a year playing BO4 this feels fresh. I've realised I really don't like killstreaks either, they promote camping and bullshite passive play so much, and I think it was a big reason why it was so bad. If you're three kills off a chopper gunner, there's no reason for you to leave your little room at all.

This game will definitely bring back the older player base, but from what I've seen, the older player base didn't dislike the newer cods because of jetpacks or advanced movement, they disliked them because they couldn't sit in a room of claymores and camp it out.

I only really play competitive so it doesn't bother me too much and Search could be fucking brilliant in this game if they get the maps right.

I was playing that 10 v 10 dom map with the ferris wheel (can't remember the name) and was getting frustrated with the campers, when you filtered 6v6 that map didn't show up so that had me thinking that competitive play might alleviate a lot of the camper issues... I pretty much agree with almost all you posted. When I first fired up the game and I was going on streaks running SMG, I was loving it but within a day or so the issues with AR campers was becoming obvious.

It has the basis of a really great COD, hopefully they can work something out around these issues and actually pay attention to the complaints of the community ... but this is IW we're talking about.

The TTK I'm a big fan of, it feels very similar to BO2 TTK but not a result of bad connection like BO2 was, it's quick enough you don't need to empty half a clip into someone but long enough that you can turn on people.

I don't think I'll play any of that Ground War game mode, looks like they're going for the Battlefield community with that one.
