Official Mervyn 'The' Gee Thread

  • Latest update: Apologies for errors yesterday, due to php resource allocation needs configuring to suit the server, and can only do that when we know what's not working.

There should be no more errors now, but there might be a bit more configuring required. If you get any error 500's or other errors browsing, please send me a pm with your ip address, time of error (and your timezone if not uk), and the page you're trying to access.

Should be leading to some big performance increase and new features. Thanks to everyone for patience and support.

I thought Fitzgerald was lucky to stop Morris on Saturday, any talk of him taking on Fowler at this stage of his career is premature. He needs at least another three fights , and even then I think Fowler would beat him. Regards Mervyn The Gee

Probably very few on CHB have heard of Lena Zavoroni. She was born in 1963 and died in1999 at the age of 35yrs. . At the age of 10yrs she won , Opportunity Knocks, a TV talent show. she was also the youngest as stated died in 1999. ever singer to have a top ten "LP"hit. Unfortunately she suffered from anorexia and depression and and as stated died in 1999. If you ever get the oppurtunity to listen to her please do, she is fantastic. Her andBonnie Langford were around in the same era, Bonnie at the age of 53yrs is starring in a West End show. Regards Mervyn The Gee

Anyone tell me what"s with the"Hall Of Fame" besides my thread ? Regards Mervyn The Gee ; '
Hi Mervyn, I believe it is due to this thread being considered one of the best on CHB. At the top of the British forum, you'll see this bar:

If you click on the "Hall of Fame" button, it will bring up some threads that are seen as the most memorable on the forum.

Watched Teddy Atlas, I know a lot of people on the forum don"t like him, but after forty years in the business , he as a lot of knowledge. He thinks that GGG is on the slide, so do I, where I disagree with Atlas is that he isstill agreat fighter and will fight a different fight this time. psychologically he knows he won the last fight, and this time will leave no room for any doubt. Regards Mervyn The Gee

Teddy is a very love him or hate him marmite character but I don't mind him. He was not shy in saying he thinks Canelo is a liar and took PED's intentionally, good on him. I hope GGG knocks Canelo out.

Instead of Slagging off Johnny Nelson, how about some sympathy for him and his family. It must have been awful for them all these past couple of months. Regards Mervyn The Gee

Just finished watching one of the greatest games of rugby , New Zealand v South Africa , eleven tries scored, fantastic to watch and eventually won by South Africa 36-34. Based on this display I doubt whether any of the home nations will get near these two in next years Rugby World Cup. Regards Mervyn The Gee

Just watched Ramirez outclass his opponent, talk of Josh Taylor meeting him in the near future hopefully is just that, talk. He would be eaten for breakfast. On the same card,Flores, the golden boy , looked ordinary. Looking forward to tonights fights , hopefully an undisputed win for GGG. Regards Mervyn The Gee
