I think Broner could beat Manny tonight, depends how he as approached the fight. . If Manny gets beaten he will retire, do"nt want him to carry on as a punchbag for up and coming hopefuls. Regards Mervyn the Gee.

Surprise how easily "Manny" handled Broner. Where does Broner go from here? Based on that performance his World title chances would appear to have gone. As for Manny talk of fighting Floyd were ignored by the man himself. Manny as probably got a couple of decent money fights left, but old father time is only a step behind him. Why all the fuss about Joyce fighting Stiverne? They are building him up, just like all promoters do. Yes Stiverne is way past his best, Joyce would not have beaten him even a couple of years ago, but his name will look good on his record. Who will Joyce fight after this one? why not Sam Sexton, they would know how good Joyce is, but we must remember he as only had Seven fights but I think now is the time to see how good he really is. What was the Cardiff City player doing on the plane that as apparently crashed.? I have just listened to a broadcast where the player was saying that he was afraid to be on the aircraft and expected it to crash. It as been inoperation for 35 years and during that time as had around 32 crashes. Why were Cardiff City using this company.? . Regards Mervyn The Gee

He was already in the air, and over sea, when he made that call.

Cardiff City didn't book the plane.

@Grant. you could be right , but my inclanation is that he was speaking to colleagues before the plane took off. But surely with the number of accidents that this plane has been involved with whoever booked it must be questioning themselves now. Regards Mervyn The Gee

Are you talking about the recording when he said bits were coming off the plane?

@Grant, probably. but in any case why was it hired when the number of accidents it had been involved with was horrendous? Regards Mervyn the Gee

You'll need to ask whoever booked it, but it wasn't Cardiff.

Surely if it was that unsafe though, the plane would have been taken out of use.

@Grant, just reading the comments, how unsafe does it have to be ?Regards Mervyn the Gee
I don't know, do you? But clearly somebody with relevant apparent knowledge has deemed it safe enough.

How does it compare with other types of plane over the same period?

@thegee

Jeff Beck is a massive fan of Blue Caps' guitarist Cliff Gallup. Mr. Beck released "Crazy Legs" in 1993, a Gene Vincent/Blue Caps tribute album. A great album which I highly recommend.

@Ronnie"s Neck, Three ATG jazz musicians, Dinah died in 1994 aged 78yrs. Burt Reynolds was a long time companion. Lots of good jazz musicians still about, but none as good as these three in their prime. Regards Mervyn the Gee

@Ronnie"s Neck , my understanding is he was with her for fifteen years. He was twenty years younger than her, but just looking at her,ou can understand the attraction. Regards Mervyn the Gee

Holocaust day tomorrow. . I have been to most of the "death" camps in Poland. . I consider myself as a fairly hard man, seen a lot of horrible things, but nothing prepared me for my first visit to Auschwitz. . One large room is full of babies and young peoples shoes murdered by the Germans, I could not stop crying. I think everyone should visit Auschwitz, a death camp set up by a "civilised"? nation to murder Jews , Gypsies and Homosexuals . I think that in just this one camp nearly a million people were murdered. Regards Mervyn The Gee

An appalling chapter in history Mr Gee, it's incredible to think that (so called) 'civilised' human beings were capable of such evil.
