Preseason has begun with last week's HoF game, and the season will begin in full in another few weeks.

Some tidbits of news so far:

-Brady signs a contract extension, will make $23 mill a year (up from 15 mill) over 3 years.

-AB has an unspecified, non-football related foot injury.

-Last I heard, Ezekiel Elliot was still holding out.

Thoughts? Predictions?

Finally a Dane in the NFL again. Not expecting a lot of time on field for Hjalte Froholdt and I hate the New England Patriots with a passion but I must admit that he'll probably get the best football education available there. Probably gonna buy me a Game Pass again and follow the Niners as usual and see how Hjalte Froholdt does in New England

AB has bad blistering on his feet.

Michael Thomas has signed a 5 year - 100 million deal making him the highest paid non qb offensive player ever.

Wentz signed a deal worth 32 million a year completely resetting the qb market.

Going out on a limb with some predictions for the year:

-Mahomes will struggle in comparison with last year as teams start blitzing him 24/7.

-The Rams will have a post-SB loss slump, just like everyone else who gets their dreams crushed by the Pats.

-The Steelers will fail to win their division again, and may not even place 2nd.

-The Saints will fall short of last year's heights as Brees increasingly shows his age.

-The Pats will continue to give their critics false hopes of a decline.

-Cousins will continue to disappoint.

-The Bengals will continue to implode.

-Rodgers will continue to bitch.

Carson still has to prove he can reach the postseason in playing condition, then perform in the playoffs. QBs like Wentz, Garoppolo, Rodgers and Derek Carr (as you're too painfully well aware from 2016) prove that even in this era, durability like that of the Manning brothers, Brady, Brees, Ryan, Stafford and Wilson remains impressive. (That especially goes for Eli starting over 200 straight on some pretty awful teams in a streak that would still be going if not for a ridiculous benching in a meaningless game, except it got that stupid shithead HC Ben McAdoo fired by the change resistant Mara dynasty.) As tough as Roethlisberger is, he's only started all 16 regular season games four times in 15 years, additionally going a 19 game SB distance once [in 2008]. (Brady's started 19 games in seven different seasons, among all his crazy records. I hate Eli as much as most hate Brady, but it's still a physical game, and I respect Eli's ability to survive on the field of play)

I'm triggered!

So I wrote them this just now

You can cast Games Pass to Samsung smart TVs now, from this season. Well, there is an app available, apparently on new Samsung smart TVs.

I got a Sony but there already is an app that seems to work just fine but for some undisclosed reason it isn't currently available in my "area". No explanation, just a red line of text in the app itself as shown in the 1st pic

Would you just not cast from your phone to TV? Works for me.

My TV has a chromecast build-in so yes, but I hear the app is pretty bad. I'd rather have the app directly on my TV and not have to cast from other devices and that app does exist, I'm just not allowed to use it for some reason

I'm looking to buy a tv where the app is available and workable. To your knowledge, which is the best tv to go for?
I'm thinking mid range, 49 inch Samsung or LG.

Having watched episode 1 of Hard knocks, this Jonathan Abrams guy would wanna be fucking good, because I can't imagine his team and coaches putting up with him if he is mediocre.

  1. Starts nailingbhis teammates in a minimal contact practice session.
  2. Fronts up to the coach when warned about the roughness and states ' you can't drop me , you picked me in the 1st rd'.
  3. Genuinely annoying personality at lunch hosted and paid for by Derek Carr. Kept mentioning Carrs 120m contract and then kept going on about how to pronounce Salmon.
I predict this dude won't be at Raiders by start of next season.

I loved his attitude but he better back it up. Didn't see him do anything in the pre season opener.

Now he's threatening to quit football entirely if he doesn't get the helmet he wants.

Suddenly, it's becoming a bit clearer why the Steelers were so agreeable to trading him...
Saw today that AB lost his grievance... so when will we hear his retirement speech?

I like his on-field attitude, but his behaviour towards the coach and the QB is annoying and borderline disrespectful. I think he just needs a lot of maturing. He'll look back in 20 years at that first episode and cringe.
