I thought Jones looked promising. He reminded me a fair bit of early Jared Goff last night, in the sense that you can see the talent is there but there's a couple of bad decisions and overall, not enough talent around him. One of my issues with the Mahomes praise is that he's always throwing to receivers who are wide, wide open and if that was Jones last night, I think he'd have had exceptional stats but the coverage was brilliant and he rarely had an open man. His throws are sharp and accurate though. I thought Jones should have ran with the ball more but it's difficult against such a good defence and despite throwing a few picks, I think he showed a good level of ability.

Had Barkley been playing last night, there's a good chance the Giants would have won. It was a closer game than the eventual scoreline suggested and a big problem for the Giants was that the run game never established itself.

Thought Jones was poor last night, tbh.

Lack of options aside, he showed very poor decision making a number f times. If there's nothing on just get rid of it. He held on to it far too long too often before tying to force something that wasn't there.

Bit early to say he's a fraud, mind.

Regarding last Thursday night's game, I thought Brady looked the worst I've ever seen him, at least during the 1st half - dropped a snap, slow passes, overthrows, fumble, miscommunications, poor pocket awareness, etc., etc. In short, he played like he was half-asleep. The most worrying part for anyone who is a Pats fan is the way he just lackadaisically lets himself get sacked without any effort to elude his rushers and/or get the ball out quickly. It's like watching an old boxer who no longer has the reflexes to roll with punches.

Pats' current offense might be the weakest it's ever been during the Brady era, but the D might be the best it's ever been during that time frame. Special teams looks great too.

And as usual, the Pats benefit from quite possibly the sh!ttiest schedule in the sport. So far, they've beaten only ONE team (the Bills) that has a winning record - and out of the other five, THREE are currently winless, one (Steelers) has only a single win, and the Giants had two. And their next game will be a rematch at home against the still-winless Jets.

Week 6 highlights:

Panthers vs. Buccs
(London) - Divisional rematch. Can the Panthers avenge their earlier loss to the Buccs now with Kyle Allen at the helm? Can the Buccs avoid falling even further behind in the race for divisional leader?

Redskins @ Dolphins - The battle for 1st round pick.

Eagles @ Vikings - Both teams riding high ATM. Will the Eags continue to show the form that they did in their last 2 games? Can Cousins shine against a genuinely good defense??

Texans @ Chiefs - Can the Chiefs rebound from their recent struggles and injuries, or are they ready to be taken again? Whether or not Tyreek plays could be the deciding factor.

49ers @ Rams - Another crucial divisional matchup. Will the 9ers solidify their position atop the division, or will the Rams rebound in a big way? Whether or not Gurley plays (and is healthy) could be the deciding factor.

Lions @ Packers (Monday night) - The battle for top of the division. Both teams appear to be much improved from last season.

Surely if Cam Newton was 100% fit, he wouldn't get into this team ahead of Allen? Allen has played really well, so it could be interesting to see what happens going forward, if Newton does carry on playing and I see no reason why he wouldn't. I can see it being an awkward situation where everyone is expecting Allen to make a mistake and be dropped but if they do show faith in him, does that mean Cam would be traded? Could be a few interesting options for him, like Pittsburgh is Big Ben's recovery isn't great, or Denver if they move on frmo Flacco.

Some of the second choice QBs have impressed though. I like Brissett, Minshew and Allen, they're starters I think.

Interesting match later on with the Texans and Chiefs. Hopefully Watson has a good game, which I think he will because the Chiefs pass rush is poor, and it'll be interesting to see who comes out looking better between him and Mahomes.

Seattle should beat Cleveland but there's two injuries in the OLine and now I'm not confident at all. I'm hopeful but without Brown and Fluker, I don't know if the run game will establish itself and I can see it being a scrappy game. Wilson will be needed today.
