The Seahawks love making hard work of it. To give away such an easy TD because of a blown coverage was poor, that game could have been more one sided.

I think both the Seahawks and 49ers go 2-1 on their next 3 games, so that final game will be brilliant to see. Two hot teams, playing for the division and a bye. Saying that though, the Rams looked good yesterday and I like the Cardinals, so they could be dangerous when they have nothing to play for, so it might be Seattle needing to win at home against the 49ers.

Great performance by Seattle - they proved they're the real deal and their win over the 9ers was no fluke. Their run game looked strong, and even though their defense is still a bit leaky, they compensate with some big playmakers who can make stops and force turnovers in the clutch. I think they would have a 50/50 shot against just about any team in the league.

On the flipside, Cousins did a great job of rallying his team from the brink of disaster to come within what should've been a FG (if their kicker hadn't missed a PAT). He can return to Minny with his head held high. Hopefully they get Thielen and Cook back healthy and can retake their division from the paper tiger Packs.

Shocking to see how a 10-2 team can be reduced to a WC spot. I've always said the whole divisional system was badly flawed and unfair, but this could be the worst example of it yet.

The big news today is that Ron Rivera has (finally) been fired.

Despite his penchant for bad playcalling, there are at least a few teams where he would be an upgrade over their current coach (i.e.: Giants, Browns). I'd be surprised if he didn't land with a new team by the start of next season.

Tomorrow night, Dallas will travel to Chicago for a meeting of struggling/underperforming teams that still have playoff aspirations.

Trubisky actually had a respectable performance in his prior game and rallied the team from an early thumping to a narrow victory.

Can Trubisky build on his success and leave Jerry in tears again? Or will Dallas' D cause him to revert back to his earlier mediocrity?

The next round of games are really interesting. The Seahawks are at the Rams, the 49ers at the Saints, the Chiefs are at Patriots and the Ravens are at the Bills. They're all good games on paper and I could see all the favoured teams losing, without it really being shocking. The Rams game feels like a trap game to me, they're being overlooked by Seahawks fans.

The Saints have a proper test coming this week when they take on San Fran in the Dome here in N.O.

Both teams are 10-2 and looking to grab a tight hold on their playoff positions. N.O. is 1st in the NFC South and San Fran is 2nd in the NFC West behind the Seahawks.

Easy win for the saints.
