i only saw a couple of the main stages but the story seemed to be that yates was super solid and quintana was a bit disapointing.
Yeah Yates had same form as Giro but a much better head on him. Very professional performance.

Quintana was a bit all over the place. He tried but he lacked any tactical nouse or legs when it really mattered.

Final table here too

Congrats Axe Murderer (can't @ for some reason) . Small field due to the crash but a good total none the less.

Who do we reckon today then?

Alaphilippe is the obvious pick, along with Valverde.

I'm going with Moscon as an outside pick.

don't know the course well enough to make a pick.

be nice to see a outsider win, been a few years iirc.

Lots of climbing before a very steep final kick and technical descent. Not too different from a finish like Flèche Wallonne but with a lot more mountains before hand.

Gonna be a fascinating finish. All the big names left (bar Sagan but that's no real surprise)

So gutsy by Dumoulin to come back there.

Fair play to Valverde. He's been close to many times.

With only 1 ITT he has a decent chance, hasn't done too much so far this season but we'll see how he does at the Dauphine.
Yeah that's what I'm thinking with regard the TT. He's shown his teeth in the TDF before and is relatively consistent. Just with Froome out now, and being 40/1 it's a tempting ew bet.

40/1 to podium!? Not a bad one. Don't know team AG2R sending but expect it be strongest possible.

Yeah shame about Froome. Not all that bothered about him winning 5 but never nice to see someone break a leg so close to a Grand Tour.

Bardet is a tricky one. Course should suit him this year but his TT ability really is poor. Anyone know the route for the TT?

Pinot could be the French pick. He's looking sharp.

The TT stage isn't that long from memory and is mid race, like stage 12 or 13.. I think it's not very hilly

Froome if he comes back should focus on Giro or Veulta. Easy for me to say, but if injury as bad as being implied at 35 don't see him beating depth of field TDF currently drawing.
