Both fighters would be handicapped in this one: Pac drained (can he make 140 at all?) and (after Pac rehydrates if he can make weight) Loma significantly smaller.

Leaning toward Loma because of the huge skill discrepancy. But if he fights him like he did Linares then I might have to favour Pac. Pac is sloppy as hell and IMO Loma should let Pac come after him, let him lunge in and drop those hand to his knees and counter him.

I think PAC has unfinished business at 140 but I get that he’s now a welter. I wouldn’t mind a catchweight at 144.

I think PAC could easily make 140 if he wanted to and rehydration wouldn’t be an issue.

I for one would like to see this fight the more I think about it.

PAC/Mayweather 2 is a pipe dream..

Their first "fight" was less exciting than most sparring sessions. Why would you want to see that again?

Pac too big too fast too strong. If Linares can put Loma on his ass then Pac then turn his lights off.

Plus i doubt he would be weight drained, he had no problems making weight against Algieri.

How long ago was the Algieri fight? Pacquiao is far too old, imo, to be draining. I don't think he'd be able to make 140 at this stage in his career. But if Pacquiao comes in hydrated and good, he stops Lomachenko.

Pac Algieri was about 5 years ago. Still Loma has been taking clean punches from Linares and Campbell and Pac is a far superior fighter than those two, not to mention more awkward.

I don't want to see Loma at 140, for at least a few more years. 135 is already a bit of a stretch, despite his current dominance.

I would, however, like to see Luke Campbell at 140.

Pac hasn't fought a smaller, faster, more skilled fighter for a long time. There's a big difference between the Thurman's of the world and Lomachenko. I want to see it just for the name factor, I have no doubt that it looks similar to Pac-DLH (Loma being Pac) but I understand why Lomachenko and his team aren't interested. They should just take it for the pay check and to end Pac while some people still think he is the same fighter he used to be. At the same time it doesn't move them towards unification and beating the best available today. If they fought then everyone would just say he beat a shell of Pac in retrospect, so Lomachenko isn't going to be motivated by that 'challenge', and we know he doesn't fight for fame or money. It's about legacy, and no one gets credit for beating up old names.

I agree. Loma is just on another level speed and skill-wise that Pac has not seen since at least Mayweather.

Loma would do to him what he did to Oscar.

Probably not quite as brutally though.
