Really enjoyed it, a few little things you have to overlook but that’s the same for everything.
Would absolutely fucking love a go on the posh women who trains his horses as well, filth.

The first 2 series were good but its really fallen off a cliff since then in terms of quality, both the writing & acting

Its become so silly & the acting so hammy I only watched the 4th series all the way through for all the unintentionally hilarious moments

Hardy was by far the best & most interesting character & they killed him, probably won't watch the 5th series

Yip.My two favourite programmes have just killed off the best two characters (One hasn’t been shown here yet) and it has totally ruined both for me.
I don’t want to see Tommy Shelby MP with no Alfie Solomons.
Can only assume Hardy asked to be written out because you don’t get rid of that quality if you have a choice and Stephen Graham won’t fill the gap for me,great as he is.

I often ask myself the same thing mate.
Weird thing is I’m a massive fan of his as well.
Same man, I’ll be honest though I didn’t warm to his character in this. I always felt on edge watching him because he seemed unhinged but needed some confirmation, he didn’t really do anything other than get rolled over.
Cillian Murphy was class in their scenes I thought, without trying to overdo it and steal the scene.

Superb it was.

‘And another £100 because you are a fucking wop, mate.’

Only annoys me more that he’s gone thinking of that scene.
Like Cillian Murphy but he doesn’t have half the screen presence of Hardy.
The guy who plays Arthur is the only interesting one left.

First time I heard him, I thought Ronnie Kray was in Birmingham.

It was a superb scene. That and the negotiation over the grenade were supreme.

Sorry mate. What do you mean “rolled over”?
It took shafting Tommy for a third time and a death wish for him to get it.
The unhinged unpredictable aspect was what made him a great character.

Binged watched all 4 series over the last 3 weeks. I was well impressed. Didn't enjoy the ending to season 4 though.

I like him, but they haven't done much to develop his character. It was interesting when the father turned up, I think he needs to return in the next series.

I think they ended this series on a downward slope, they'll have to come up with top drawer storylines in the future. I don't think the characters have enough depth to cover up weak plots.

First two series were fucking great. Had to tap out after about 3 eps of 3rd series, just seemed too stylised and stretched to thin. Plus Major Campbell was the star of the show from the off. Show died with him IMHO.

I agree.

I think "Major' Campbell gave the show a real character with depth, which covered up the rest of the programmes weaknesses.

I hate to say it, but it's becoming a classier, period drama version of Son's of Anarchy, just with better acting and less plot holes.

I'm disappoint as fuck that no one has put a full or at least extensive Major Campbell best bits on youtube yet. Chewed the fuck out of the scenery in every shot. Brilliantly acted.
