I think if you can do up to 60 without stopping you should be able to get between 50-60 with good form.

Don't think there's many men out there that can do 60 without stopping though tbh.
We should do the 100 press up challenge cos i think that's a pretty cool measure of fitness and sex appeal.

Imagine you had to make sweet love to a guy and you had 2 choices. The first could only do 17 press ups and the second could do 104. You'd be all about the second guy. Easy.

It's pretty functional in terms of making love too. Not being funny, my arms and various other body parts start aching like fuck after a couple minutes. I could theoretically triple my endurance for staying in position if I could do 100 pushups.

Imagine being able to last 3 minutes without having to collapse and basically suffocate my partner. Would be nice for both of us I guess.

Definitely. Same for abs. Making love is the only ab exercise i kinda enjoy...even if i have to adapt my technique somewhat, often to the detriment of my performance apparently, when the missus has to ask what i'm doing and i'm like "abs..the fuck you think?"

Sex is hard when you think about it though. And actually when I think about it, it's uncomfortable as fuck too. You wouldn't get into any sex position if your dick wasn't being stimulated as a result of said position.

Anyway, how many pushups did you do?

Naw tried yet. I worked out a few hours ago, ffs.

Small little test for you guys to try. Simply, how many pushups can you do in one minute? Basically my work has these dumb competitions and this is the next one, wondering what the standard is amongst other guys that are fittish.

I managed 35. I basically did 30 consecutive ones (which I was pretty happy with tbh) within probably 40 seconds then died. Rested but could only do another 5.

So do me a favour and give it a go, just so I know whether I should even bother doing it.
last time I tried, a few months ago, I managed 60 pushups consecutively though I could of squeezed out a few more I wasn't really pushing myself. I'll give it ago tomorrow, my arms are frazzled right now as just did a bench session.

Bench session went very well, managed to equal my PB of 90kg. It went up so quickly, without even having to grind at the all. I was tempted to try a 2nd rep but without a spotter and my body telling me everyday in a dozen of so niggling little aches and pains that I need a deload, didn't think it was worth the risk. Am sure I can bench more, going to deload next week and then start another 4 week cycle of my program, will aim for 93kg as my next max for 5 weeks time, if I manage to bench that I'll be delighted been stuck on 90kg as my bench PB for years.

Bench 3x1 @81.5kg / 2x2 @86kg / AMRAP @90kg 1 rep completed
Decline Bench 5x4 @74kg
BB Rows 5x4 @57.5kg
Dips 12x3 @14.5kg superset with DB Rows 12x3 @14kg
OH DB Extensions 12x3 @14kg super set with DB Curl 12x3 @13kg

lol. Truth to that, gayer than sodomy second paragraph aside.

Press ups are the GOAT bodyweight for me. That and jump squats mixed together with skipping, and pretty much ticks all the boxes for basic functional fitness. What exactly is the 100 press up challenge tho? Does that mean you have to do as many as possible without stopping? Cos the most i've ever done of that is around 35, and i'm fucked by then. But pretty much every session i try and bang out 100 p/ups in HIIT, 20s to start with, gradually falling to 15s and 10s for most part.

5 mile run this morning. Wind was crazy, felt at times I could of walked faster than I was running into that wind. Ended up finishing in 43:13 which was a little slow but not too bad considering the conditions, the last two miles when I was running with the wind was fun, ran sub 8 min miles but wasn't even trying, wind was literally pushing me along.

It's a program that trains you to do 100 in a row. There's apps and shit and you put in what you can do now and it develops and tracks a regime that you follow to get you to 100.

I managed 60, I got to 48 and had to stop and rest which was disappointing, I think my triceps are still frazzled from yesterdays Bench day, I was expecting at least 80. Might be able to do better if I break them up, maybe do 30, rest for a bit then do another 30 and so on.

In terms of form I did elbows tucked in beside the body, military style, nose almost touching the floor at the bottom of the rep.

That's the form I use when pressing up. I remember a PT telling me once if I flailed my elbows I could injure myself and I've kept it with me ever since lol.

I'll do the challenge at some point myself. Probs Monday.

Down to 199.5

Target weight is 195 so only 4.5 to go. Dropping my calories by another 50.

I'd be surprised if I manage them well enough to keep dropping 0.5 consistently but it's worked 3 weeks in a row now so I'll take it.

Deadlift max testing, went pretty well. Managed 5 reps of last months max target of 98kg, going to aim for 107kg as my new max target weight.

Seem to have picked up a calf injury after yesterdays run, my left lower leg was aching all day, effected me a little on deadlifts but not much as my technique is good so don't require much if any leg drive. Couldn't do my usual calf raises at the end though, tried but my left foot just wasn't able to support the weight.

Deadlift 3x1 @88kg / 2x1 @92.5kg / 5x1 @98kg
Good Morning 4x5 @78kg
Squats 12x3 @42.5kg
Glute Ham Raises 12x3
Ab work consisting of Alphabet method, Russian twist with 5kg medicine ball and planks.

decided to throw 75 quid at some HEX 20Kg weights
no more dumbbells rolling around the floor for me
plus it gives me 8 x 5kg plates to put on the bar

I do the same mate, have them from 5-17.5 in 2.5 increments.

Once I can bicep curl 17.5kg 3*12 I'll be buying a set of 20kg as well

Any of you guys do drop sets?

I've been watching some videos and apparently on isolation exercises, studies prove that you get more hypertrophy.

So things like Bicep Curls, Tricep Extensions, I might do drop sets instead of doing my usual 3*12.

Anyone else do anything similar?

You maybe need a pyramid rack you have a load of them.

I snapped and decided to buy these because i just got sick of tightening the collars between sets and these are more compact that 4 x 5kg plates.

hopefully they get here next week.

Woke up this morning and my lower right back sore as fuck, man. No idea what I've done. No chance I can work out today which is a pure cunt as I've been genuinely motivated and constant for the past two weeks.
