Is that you in the vid? If it is I can't wait to see @mandela react to it lol.
Hah, yeah it’s me. He’s a mad Scottish bastard.

You ready for those gvt doms?

Just sorting my diet plan as I’ve just been tracking roughly. Two weeks in now, no scales so not sure on the drop this week but I can definitely tell the bodyfat is dropping. Got a leg session tonight and 25mins stepper and then next week stepper will go upto 30mins a session, really need to get some headphones.

Haha he sure is.

Yeah I am actually, I've not done a single workout this week cos I've been on holiday so I do miss it after that kinda break.

Brighton Marathon today which means every flat part of Brighton is closed off, so I had to choose a much hillier long run route than normal. I've not done a hill run for several months and ooh was it tough. Huge hill on mile 2 seemed to never end, but at least mile 3 was all down hill which seemed to go by in a flash. Got kind of lost and went off my planned route ended up running alongside the marathon runners for a bit which involved a bit of weaving on my part and ended up some side road to get back on my planned route that had pot holes bigger than me, literally 6-7ft in diameter and about a foot deep, lol.

Ended up doing 7.27 miles in 1:06:30. Obviously a lot slower pace than my usual long run because of the hilly nature of the route, but happy overall with the run, felt pretty good apart from the last mile and that big hill at mile 2.

I'm not changing anything lol I haven't even done a workout yet, I was asking if you was gonna because of the difference in weight.

Tbf though you've changed it yourself haven't you switching exercises and what not lol.

I'm just using you as my Guinea Pig haha, I start tomorrow me.

Based on what you've said in your first week my plan is do the chest/back as written (supersetted) do the legs as written (supersetted) and add slightly more volume to arms workout. So instead of doing 3 planks, I'll be doing 3 lots of 3x8 for shoulders, bicep and tricep. And then I'll do some core at the end of the arms workout.

I don't know enough about GVT to go writing my own program really, but the principle seems to be 2 lots of 10x10 supersetted, 2 lots of 3x8 supersetted so I'm just sticking with what is there.

It's a bit like when I bought my FBS from James Smith I peppered him with questions until my membership expired, but this time your James Smith and I'm not actually paying any more lol.
I haven't changed the plan at all, mate. I added some abs into the shoulder day and done some extra stuff at the end on chest/back day but I never changed anything about the plan in terms of exercises/sets/reps/rests.

That's a pure lie, Luf. I did add 1 extra set of OHP because I didn't feel the volume was enough.

Will add more weigh next time.

Actually meant to do shoulders again today but I'm doing legs instead and will do shoulders on Tuesday.

Just cos I know having to do legs after will depress me to fuck and it took fuckin ages so I'd rather do that on the weekends or Wednesday when I don't go to work. Keep the easier/shorter sessions for after work.

Yeah that’s it. Excuse the angle

Felt a lot better than expected. I thought with not putting the belt on they’d be really hard. Lower back pump was pretty good.

Very impressive mate. I’m pretty useless at pull ups. I need to start doing them regular.
<gulp>

@Smudger I'm converting this to super slo-mo so I can REALLY study the form, know? PM if interested.

The big question is have you made the slo mo of @craigseventy lifting so we can study the form?

I've just realised as well that I can do incline press, I just have to use my adjustable dumbells which is a ball ache but definitely doable.

Game on tomorrow.

Just done the leg GVT again.

Fuuuuuuuck.

Added 5lb to squat and DL. Just fuckin exhausting, man. It ain't the weight that gets you, it's the fatigue. Like when I go as heavy as I can on 3x8, for example, I'm often grinding the last couple out and form is going...nothing like that here, just pure fucked. Out of breath struggles.

Anyway, got through it. The last time I felt finishing with 3x12 kettle bell swings was easy but this time it felt much harder, man. It took my fuckin soul :(
I just lay down after it.

Volume wise, just 5lb extra on squats, DLs, I went up 30lb on split squats (I was a pussy the last time as I'd never actually done this exercise) and I done 3 extra reps on the KB swings taking me from 33000lb to 35000lb.

On another note, I have next to zero chest DOMS from yesterday despite it being my first chest day in 3 weeks. I knew it didn't feel enough, man.

Spent the past three weeks having issues with my neck, my back... and my other parts. First proper leg day yesterday in literally 3 weeks. DOMS today and tomorrow will almost certainly be fatal.

Front squats, lunges, RDLs, hamstring curls with the band and UDLs. I do not like UDLs.

Lunges and RDLs are the worst for DOMS as well.

Enjoy, mate.

it's around 40c most days here now, and it's killing my energy and enthuisasm for the gym. I live about 2 miles away and get a bus, but there's no fucking shade at the stop and sometimes i end up waiting for 20 mins, standing around sweating like a Turk with a knife. Rotten. Then i get there and they're fucking blasting the shittest music under the sun at pointlessly loud volume. Does my swede in. Asking the bird (tho honestly i suspect she may be post-op, something not quite right with her) to turn it down and unconvincingly said she couldn't.

Being a negative Nigel over here about it right now, but ahving to listen that shit while i work out really puts me off going. Half the time it's just godawful rap. I dont mind the cheesy latin stuff or the reggaetron at all, i can zone out, just this fucking degenerate rap shit, all about money and bitches and guns and suck ma motherfuckin' dick and all that shite. fucking awful quality too. This is Mexico so i guess the lyrics go over most punters here, in the UK a main gym wouldnt play that shit cos of the lyrics.

Anyway, colour me miserable old git, but i dont like paying to hear that fucking garbage.

Yeah when it's anywhere near that hot it just drains the energy out of you, last thing you want is to be sweating buckets before you even get to the gym. Luckily I train at home and have a big fan I just put on full blast when it's stupidly hot, that just about makes in bearable.

The music would bother me too, but maybe I'm a miserable old git too, lol. One of the reasons why I train at home is because of all the silly little distractions in the gym from shite music, to women in yoga pants it just puts me off my workout. Maybe get some good noise cancelling headphones so you can listen to your choice of music instead of what the gym decides to torture you with.

TBH i like the whole practise of going to the gym. I'm not sure i'd work out as much or as intensively at home. Something about being around others doing similar gets me in the right zone for it. Just this fucking music does me in... I dont understand why a gym needs loud music. You want something, but fucking blasting? At times it seems like borderline nightclub levels. Also they dont seem to shuffle stuff, so can walk in and have 50 mins of fuck rap shite or whatever just as a CD back to back

Fucking ridiculous. Worst thing is the boxing room, where i spend most of my time, the sound just bounces off the walls. Cant turn the speakers off independtly either (lord knows i've tried). Only way would be to snip the chord coming out the back, which quite frankly, were it not for the glass walls and fact i;d have to shimmy up the wall to do it (eg look fucking obvious), i would strongly consider doing...
