Completely screwed my right forearm from one single 30 minute session of boxing. Are there some oils or some crap you can rub on muscles that are painful and weak.

Its been like this a week!

Bench session today, went fine.

Lowered weight on BB rows as I think my form has not been good since I added weight, trying to focus on getting a proper squeeze at the top of the movement, I was cheating and beginning to use a bit of momentum before.

Bench 5x3 @79kg
Decline Bench 5x6 @60kg
BB Rows 5x6 @62kg
Dips 3x12 @25kg superset with DB Rows 3x12 @20kg
OH DB Extensions 3x12 @17kg superset with DB Curl 3x12 @15kg

5 mile run this morning, 2 miles slow, then 3 mile tempo run in 40:07. 3 mile tempo in 20:02, so close to getting under 22 mins again, my pacing was much better, usually run the first mile too slow, 2nd mile too fast then die on the last mile.

Been suffering from some mild plantar fasciitis for a while now, so today used some Kinesiology tape on my foot and like magic I had my first run i ages without any pain, going to have to start buying K tape in bulk with the amount I'm using for me knee, elbow and now foot.

Been using that on my calf.

No idea if or how it works but thought it was worth a try.

Trampolining for 90 minutes yesterday. Good working out that.

Crawling out the foam pits is a full body work out on its own, tbh.

From what I've read it's meant to pull the skin tissue away from the injured area, this supposedly releases pressure on that area which decreases how the pain receptors react and it's also meant to allow the lymphatic system to work more effective which would decrease swelling in that area. It's also supposed to increase blood flow in that area.

Not sure how legit the science is behind it but all the real athletes use it and it's definitely worked for me so that's good enough for me.

I guess all that bouncing counts as a leg day right?

Aye, exactly what I read. Been leaving it on constantly too as the increased blood flow apparently helps with recovery.
With this calf injury it's hard to tell as it either feels absolutely fine or absolutely fucked so I've no idea where I am in terms of recovery. It feels 100% right now but it's felt like this the last 3 times, literally 1 second, before it's went again.

Some people go to the gym. Some people go for runs. Some people go climbing. Some do martial arts. Mandy crawls out of foam pits.
Kids are the fittest little fuckers on the planet, man.

Only weighing 4 stone helps them but still.

Btw, this trampoline park had a climbing wall and foam pit below. Apart from the pain of climbing in socks, it was fucking brilliant.

Did legs on Wednesday. Went back through my log to see what my numbers were in my last session and my last logged lower day was two months ago.

Guess I'll continue wearing trousers for the rest of the summer then.

Or inversely there won't be a better time to get your legs out as you've just hit legs and probably won't hit them again for at least another 2 months, by which time the weather will most likely me miserable.

Sky's out thighs out!

Deadlift session today, was a tough one, grip wasn't great for some reason despite me having lifted heavier without any issues. Humidity had sweat dripping off me by the bucket load too, that's the one down side with training at home no AC.

Deadlift 3x5 @116kg
Sumo DL 3x8 @89kg
Squats 3x12 @53kg
GHR 3x15
Paused BB Calf Raises 3x15 @83kg superset with ab work
BB finger curl 3x15 @13kg

Done 4 workouts so far this week.

2 games of football, 2 circuit training sessions.

This time round in keeping good form, so not worrying as much about how many movements I do. Still leaves me a sweaty mess because by keeping my strict form it must mean I'm concentrating or being more tense or something, but it means when I go back to lifting I won't have to start again from scratch.

Calories averaged at 2600 and protein at 157g so all in all a good week.

My actual calorie aim is 2300-2600 so I'm at the upper end of my target area.

OHP session yesterday, went as planned.

Though my back was very sore from yesterdays deadlift session and I did feel a little weakness in my back during the workout because of it. I think I'm getting close to my limit on safely doing deadlifts without hurting myself, after this last cycle I will stall my deadlift progression I think and keep it at the current weight and see how my back feels, maybe give it some more time to adapt to lifting this heavy before trying to progress or I might simply just stop progressing and keep it at this level for my health.

OHP 5x3 @51kg
Incline Bench 5x6 @60kg
Pullups 5x6 @35kg
Arnold Press 3x12 @15kg superset with EZ Bar Curl 3x12 @30kg
Lateral Raises 3x12 @11kg superset with Band Pull Aparts

Just did squats, top set 100kg for a set of 5 followed by a set of 6. Plenty left in the tank, working sets at 100 for the next few work outs, be on 5x5 within the next couple weeks. Next test will be at 120kg (easy), 140 before the end of the year (also easy)

Went my first normal run routine in over 2 months yesterday. Ran over non stop, done my sprints, team back. No calf issues, at all. Thank fuck.
not actually the worst time either. Not great but not really the point just now.

Done shoulders and some abs today. Diet has been embarrassing.

8 mile run today in 1:07:18. My pacing was all over the place but despite that didn't feel too bad, was a pretty comfortable run over all.

I took a slightly different route than normal, usually go on the under cliff walk but today decided going on the path at the top of the cliff. Route was tougher as more undulating and had a couple of big inclines, but wasn't too bad, though had to drop back down to the under cliff path as there were just too many bugs about on the path on the top of the cliff, won't be doing that path again, constantly fighting off bugs was annoying.
