OK gave it a go, literally walked out did these 4 efforts and came in, I get some but wink but I get that normal squatting and never had pain. They're definitely a bit awkward. No idea how to do them tbh but I think a wider stance than normal seemed better than pulling it in narrow

Decided I'm getting up earlier a few times a week to do wods. Tomorrow is called deck of death.

  • Complete the Deck For Time
  • Draw cards from a standard 52-card deck plus 2 Jokers. Each card drawn determines which exercise to do and the number of reps.

  • Suit determines the exercise:
  • Hearts = Push-Ups
  • Diamonds = Sit-Ups
  • Clubs = Air Squats
  • Spades = Box jumps (24/20 in)

  • Card value determines the number of reps (face cards = 10, Aces = 11).

  • Jokers = 15 Burpees

I've been doing a deck of cards once or twice a week since my gym closed.

Absolute beast of a workout.

My set up is:
Red = push ups
Black = squats
Jack = 30 sledgehammer swings
King = 25 kbell swings
Joker = 100 turns of the skipping rope

I've combined parts of two decks, so I have A-10 from one deck, A-5 of another, also 8 jacks, 4 kings and 4 jokers. I also finish with another round of skipping. Takes about 35-40 minutes depending how fast I can swing the hammer. In that time I do a total of 140 push ups, 140 squats, 100 kbell swings, 240 sledgehammer swings and a good bit of skipping.

Actually really enjoyed it, didn't push the pace too much as was doing it on vid call with the gf so we went at the same pace but It feels so nice to just get up and get moving, I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself I think and just not training but I set the alarm and made my pre and got it done, I used a random card generator, you can basically put what you want in the pack but I went for a standard one to start with, next time I'd probably do the same as you. I'd fuckin love a hammer and tyre setup, the old gym had them and I messed about every now and then and it makes you feel pretty powerful.

I'm gonna do a wod every day now so if anyone has any workouts they wanna suggest I'll put them on my list.

Fingets crossed tomorrow if it doesn't go to shit again, I will have a 100kg including a barbell so I'll be able to start on that 40x100kg squats I mentioned

If you have anywhere you can half-bury even a car tyre it makes a decent enough target for a sledgehammer without taking up loads of space. If I had nothing else to train with forever I would literally choose a big fuck off tyre and a sledgehammer.

Just watching a pretty interesting video by gregg doucette on anorexia to jacked as fuck and how people perceive them. This lass added 20lb of muscle in 6 months!!! More than any of us would likely add in a lifetime

His voice is fucking dreadful.

Flat Bench @56.7kg 5x5

BOR @56.7kg 5x5

Goblet @56.7kg(1) 5x5

Neutral Grip Pull Ups @0.5kg 1x5

Tricep Push Ups @45.4kg 1x15

Funny thing about using bands, it's really easy setting up the bench now and I have extra strength picking them up.

Workout went well. Last rep on the pull ups was a bit dubious but I got my chest to the bar so I'll count it.

Push Ups starting to feel better now, but I'm so knackered by the time I do them.

I only have next week on this cycle and then it's my 20 rep test and the end of my program.

Still not sure what I'll do after that, most likely I'll start again from the beginning but with heavier weights.

By the way I tried doing one of those overhead squats.

Just with an EZ bar.

Felt like I'd tried Deadlifting with shit form. It was that bad I almost skipped my workout entirely tbh.

I practiced with no weight and thought you were all pussys. Then when I tried with the EZ bar my form went to absolute dog shit.

Never doing that again tbh.

Completed my deload week, still have a sore right front delt and my left ham string too still a bit sore but better than it was.

Did squats yesterday which went well, was able to up my training max and complete the workout, so my squats are still progressing during my cut. Was a tough first session back and DOM's today are pretty bad.

Squats 6 rep max test @86kg - 6 reps completed
Squats 4x3 @89kg / AMRAP - 4 reps completed /AMRAP - 4 reps completed
Paused Squats 5x6 @61kg
B Stance Squats 3x12 @38kg superset with BB Rows 3x12 @42kg

Yessss finally got a bar and plates
Nice, I hope you didn't pay stupid money for them seems this lock down is seeing every chancer try and inflate prices, just had someone one quote me £385 quid to remove some stuff from a storage and take it to the dump when pre lock down when I last did that it cost me £80.

People should be ashamed of profiting from a crisis really.

I haven't paid anything for them, my mate manages a gym and he has let me take a bar and 80kg of plates till this is over. I actually have access to two gyms but I just don't want to be that guy.

Since lock down @craigseventy has upped his pay4gay price. Its like he knows we have nothing better to do now.

Freestanding bag just used yesterday for my second time starting to develop a decent jab watching GGG Ali Bowe Foreman all the great jabs good we boxing lesson .The bag is starting to move a bit with kicks but still good for boxing not moving at all .Just watched this Ali vid check the guy shadow boxing at the end the kicks man if u could kick like that you'd knock it over the power in they kicks man .
