Cast iron >>> bumpers.

Nothing sounds sweeter than a couple of 45s slapping together.
Yeah I’m only messing about. I have to have bumpers because my shed floor’s concrete and metal plates take chunks out if I drop the bar. I use cast iron fractional ones.

Amen to that, I can't fuckin stand bumpers, but for home use they save fucking things up. Main reason I hate bumpers is because they make shit look so heavy

Just had a decent little session
Bench 3 sets 100kgx20
Incline bench 3 sets 100kgx8
Hex press 32s
Db flies

It mad how much harder incline press is compared to flat

Craig, I got those BLK BOX ones.

£185 delivered for a pair of black 25kg bumpers once they’re back in stock on 22nd June. That’s probably me sorted for plates forever.

Fuck me how much was pnp
I hate paying pnp it genuinely bugs me.

Nice have them though, like rocking horse shit at the minute. How much weight do you have now then

I’m pretty sure these two 25s make it 285 in total, which means I can leave 140 on my deadlift bar permanently rather than constantly moving plates around.

Actually had my first good press session is ages yesterday. My 4 rep max test for OHP went better than expected twice had to up the weight as what I had planned to lift was too light. Still 1kg down on what I did 6 weeks ago but considering I've lost 4lbs since then I'll take that as a win.

OHP 4 rep max test @53kg - 4 reps completed
OHP 4x2 @49.5kg /AMRAP - 4 reps completed /AMRAP - 4 reps completed
Legs Up Bench 5x5 @66kg
Slingshot Bench 4 rep max test @88kg - 4 reps completed
DB Bench 3x18 @15kg superset with Dips 3x18
Rear Delt Flye 3x18 @9kg superset with DB Flyes 3x18 @15kg

Decided to do another Crossfit style workout today, but instead of normal Murph I wanted to switch out some of the exercises to focus on pulling movements, so switched out pull ups to 100 chest to bar pull ups, switched the air squats for 300 barbell rows with 20kg and kept the 200 press ups just so I had at least one easier exercise where I wasn't pulling.

Decided not to go all out just to test how the workout felt and to see if it was manageable. That in hindsight was a prudent choice because this workout made Murph feel like a walk in the park in comparison.

After 2 rounds of the chest to bars I realised this wasn't doable, them along with the BB rows was just pure torture for my lats so switched to normal wide grip pull ups but even that was way too tough so switched to narrow grip pull ups to take some emphasis off my lats. Still torture but a manageable level of torture, I had one foot in the pain cave but wasn't all the way in.

The 2nd mile run was tough at first my arms felt 4 times heavier than normal and my lats were aching but by the half mile point I felt better and was able to pick up speed.

1 mile run - 8:12
100 Narrow grip pull ups / 200 press ups / 300 BB Rows @20kg - 31:50
1 mile run - 8:28

Total time including transitions - 58:59

Even though I wasn't pushing the pace I don't think I could go much faster on this workout it's just so much harder than Murph for me. Suffice to say I won't be doing this again, will need to rethink my exercise selection.

Oh man that sucks. How can a business sell stock it doesn't even have, fricken amateur hour right there, bet your not the only one it's happened too.
Sad but I'm pretty gutted about it actually. More annoying because me and my brother were ordering at the same time and his have been shipped and mine haven't. Sick of pissing about having to do ridiculous reps now.

Like when I tried to program a wod for myself and nearly died.

Think the wods are the wods for a reason
