Interesting to see your bum popping up first.

I've definitely been trying to do this lately. Trying to use more glutes, obviously to go heavier but also to fix my knee collapsing problem.
You squatting high bar or low? I think a lot of knee cave comes from having weak abductors so id do the off bits on them. Constantly think knees out too and maybe look at playing with a few different foot positions

What does that bit mean?

Weak abductors are definitely likely. I think anything in and around my hips are either too weak or too tight.

I tried low bar squatting but at the heavier weights I didn’t feel much of an advantage. Also, I watched a load more Clarence Kennedy on youtube and felt like I was cheating by not doing strict high bar. That cunt does 300kg with no belt, wraps, straps, etc.

The craziest thing about that is how much whip is in the bar and the plates don't come off, looks like he's using a deadlift bar.

Just ordered a Rogue Echo bike. Well excited actually, I’ve never had a cardio machine at home. I think the shipping’s slow at the moment but it should be here within a week.

I used to have an indoor exercise bike, I doubt I used it more than 30 times if I'm honest. I only used it when it was raining and I couldn't go out for a run, I found it really boring, much like running on a treadmill indoors it just sucked and eventually I chucked it as it was basically just collecting dust and taking up space.

I also lived with a mate who had a rowing machine, that wasn't as bad as the bike but still got bored of it pretty quickly. In general I find at home cardio is always just mental torture.

I can’t wait to get bored of this and have a £1,000 clothes peg.

The best thing you can do is put a TV infront of If or prop up your phone, start a series and watch like half hour or an hour during your workouts. I think it builds more of an association with it being fun rather than a chore.

I've managed to steal (for a week) another 2 bumpers, so today I might load up 250kg on deads which will be by far the heaviest I've pulled in about 5months

Yeah I’ll set something up to keep me occupied. As BB said, cardio at home is a fucking nightmare so I’ll tweak it as best I can.

Yeah, I've been consciously trying to increase my NEAT (so essentially just increasing my steps really) which means going on the treadmill after lifting for anything from 15-30mins depending on how much time I have for another walk later in the day. Putting on some sort of documentary on my phone has been a godsend, the time flies by and it's rather enjoyable tbh.

How the fuck do people squat right the way down without the very bottom of their back rounding under? I dunno what I’m doing wrong, I get a proper little wink at the very bottom even when I’m consciously trying to keep it flat.

I think it's usually down to tight hamstrings. If there's not enough stretch there then it draws your butt down and inwards.

Deadlift session today. 2 rep max went up pretty easily, might of actually took too much weight off my training max for this block of training.

Front squats today were tough. I was struggling with thoracic extension and so was having to use my hands to hold the weight to a greater degree than normal Afterwards by upper back was tight as fuck, definitely got some knots there that I'll need to massage out with a physio ball. I need to work on my thoracic mobility more as that's going to limit my front squat progression.

Deadlift 2 rep max @135kg - 2 reps completed
Deadlift 4x1 @117.5kg /AMRAP - 5 reps completed /AMRAP - 4 reps completed
Front Squats 4x5 @72.5kg
RDL 3x8 @60kg superset with Weighted Pull Ups 3x8 @20kg
Snatch Grip Row 3x16 @31kg superset with Hammer Curls 3x16 @11kg
EZ Barbell Curl 3x16 @26kg

Don't go right down then.

Not enough reward for the risk in rounding, imo (fact).

parralell or just below is absolutely fine anyway. I thought we were past all the ATG stuff??

I’ve only ever gone all the way down, but I’ve also had lower back pain whenever I’ve gone heavy and it was only today when I actually filmed a few reps that I noticed the wink. I don’t ever have a spotter and I’ve never filmed myself before but it all makes sense now.
