Squats today. Switched my usual top set to work on my squat form by doing singles at 85% of my max. Made a few tweaks to my form and seemed to hit depth pretty easily which I was happy with.

Squats 4x1 @96kg
Squats 3x8 @85kg
Deadlift 4x5 @131.5kg
Platz Squat 3x11 @48.5kg superset BB Rows 3x11 @47kg
Glute Bridge 3x14 @35.5kg superset Bat Wing Rows 3x14 @8kg
Single Leg Extensions 3x14 @18.5kg superset with Incline DB Curls 3x14 @7kg

The idea of lifting outside with how cold it has been recently sounds like a real pain in the ass. Have you considered getting some kind of outdoor heater, it's something I'd want but then I'm a southern pansy.

WTF will you do if it rains, the idea of deadlifting with a wet barbell sounds like a ball ache.
Thankfully I'm from Yorkshire and we are made of tough stuff


But really, it's a lot of effort to be motivated for. It was so cold yesterday my bench had iced over. That videos from April and I was warm, but now its insanely cold.

Talk about motivation, I'm currently doing laps of my kitchen, I'm a on a paltry 5000 steps for the day and I've hit 10000 every day this year, so I'm spending the next hour walking round the same room.

I remember doing this one day in the summer. It was like 5 minutes to midnight and I forgot I needed 2000 steps or something. I started marching round my house with my missus thinking I'd gone insane.

Didn't even get the 10k, think I ended 500 short.

Ahh that's gutting.

I say that, I'm reality the difference between 9500 and 10000 is nothing, for me it's just the fact if hitting a goal that keeps me motivated.

After telling me ‘next month’ since fucking May, they finally got a 40kg kettlebell in stock. Can’t wait to have a go at swings with it, I’m not sure I’ll ever go heavier than a 40.

Years ago when I was at my physical strongest point in life, I remember my Bench going something like

12=60
10=70
8=80
5=85
3=90
2=95
1=100
1=105

and I've just benched 86 6 times.

Although they felt like they "bounced" off my pecs so I don't know if that's even a real thing or not but I felt some extra momentum at the bottom definitely, there were no pausing any of these reps.

Man every time you put your numbers I see them and I'm like "yeah same ball park as me, all is good"

Then 1.5 seconds later I'm like "about half the size of me, all is bad again"
