Good old Sussex by the sea
I have a medicine ball I stole from a gym a while back. What exercises would you recommend with it?
Sets of 10 sits ups but at the top of each "up" do 10 twists with the ball

V sit-ups with arms outstretched, start lying down arms behind you holding the ball, perform a full v situp making the ball touch your toes, perfect form and down. repest

Also worth noting I have a bunch of free weights, a medicine ball, a skipping rope and a resistance band.

v-ups are literally insane to do given my build hahaha, I basically snap in half and die, that's without adding resistance. I'll build up to that though.

Then start training fella!
Skip every day. Do some core work with your medicine ball every day. Do some bodybuilding for arms with the band. Free weights load up on things like squats of some sort, pressing over your head if you can, and also some throws with the ball is a good one.

Will do! I don't have any doorway suitable for a chin up bar, weird as that is. I could try it from the banister from the stairs but if I die it's on your head.

Also, do you know anywhere I can use as a workout log? Maybe we should make a sub-forum for that here? [MENTION=1]Jay[/MENTION]

Just log it on this one [MENTION=503]Chacal[/MENTION], if it ends up like the one on ESB it'll just be a social and training thread. You are going to uni soon aren't you mate? Which one? I've moved city this year and the gym is on my door step so i've went from 13 stone to 15 stone and all my lifts have shot up.

Yeah in September mate. Heriot Watt in Edinburgh. It's a campus uni so everything is in the one place. Halls, classes, gym, canteen, shops, student union. Even a mosque. Gym will literally be around the corner and works out at like 20p a day for a years membership. Can get into 4 2 hours boxing classes a week for £15 a year too. Crazy prices, half what I was paying monthly for the same thing.

You're there lad. Moving away to unio has been one of the best things i've ever done. Newcastle is so easy to pull in. Some nights in some clubs you can't not pull. Quality isn't always the best but when your smashed a smash is a smash. Anyway if you are half the swagged out meterosexual faggot that you come across as you should be fine :lol:

Anyway. At 9am I'm going to go do a workout.

Resistance band overhead press - Going to try make it so I do 5 sets of aiming for 15

Dumbell one handed floor press - Will pick out a weight when I'm through there. Hopefully something I aim for doing 5 sets of 15 per arm

Lunges holding a dumbbell (will say weight after) - 100 each leg

Bodyweight squats - 3 sets of 100.


I could end up doing more or less, this is just a rough idea for somebody to suggest things I add or take away?

I'm no expert but...

No hold it just out in front of your stomach so you're engaging all your core when twisting - if you're doing these properly they're not overly easy so 5 sets of 10 maybe to begin with

Push ups sounds good

If you've got a resistance band do band pull aparts too to help the rear deltoid as this gets neglected far too much

That all suonds like a good full body work out, you're obviously not focussing on specific muscle groups but put it this way, that'll do you more good than having a lie in :conf
