Mate, change the record, you've been using this whole thread-starting shtick for years now.

Maybe if you stopped disagreeing with & dismissing people whose opinions you disagree with in your inane threads there would be more open debate & more people would start more threads about more varied topics, as opposed to you recycling topics (& their positive/negative converses) ad nauseam?
Love to obsess over faceless strangers on a message board some more, but I'm off to see the Joker with the missus. Looking forward to another six threads with you whining about me when I get back. Feel free to add to any non-Haggis discussion topic any time. :thumbsup

Congratulations. Did you know you can buy pre-sliced bread now?

At one point in time, the ESB Lounge was the best site on the internet.

Then the owners started introducing limitations & restrictions - no porn, no avatars, no pictures & videos, then deletion of the historical database full of classic threads from all those years ago.

That was the death of the lounge.

This lounge came along & was a capable replacement until you appointed yourself the adjudicator of worthy internet material & started going on about "positive net value".

Now it seems unless it is posted by you, nothing is worth discussing or debating.

Should anyone dare start their own thread on a subject you have no interest in, you "parachute" into it & try to change the subject to something you want to discuss.

You simply dont realise how much of a dictatorial cunt you are - you're absolutely clueless yet have the cheek to pull others up for (what you deem to be) "not adding positive net value"

Why dont you fuck off & let other people have a go for a while, you self-centred, attention-demanding brat?

I've got a skylight in my bedroom, right above my bed. I love hearing the rain crash down while I'm laying there, especially those heavy thudding raindrops that you get as a storm begins.

I know why it is. Years ago I had to work outdoors in the pissing rain. I fucking hated it. It was cold and wet, and the work was hard. And now the sound of rain against the skylight makes me smile as I know that I don't have to do that shit anymore.

Buying a stock right before it surges. I seem to care much more about being right in the short term than what happens to the stock over time.

My cheese advent calendar
I think my preferred advent calender would be chocolate, but each day is a different type of high-quality chocolate. Instead of each day being a bunch of shitty cheap chocolate blobs.

When you are driving up to Scotland, get past the gridlock shitfest that is Manchester, past Lancaster and Preston. And suddenly the scenery is absolutely stunning, the Lake District unfolds and the roads are empty, calm and relaxed. And everything is just bliss.

I enjoy that little moment every time.

When you microwave something different than usual, you have to guess the power setting and the time, and it actually comes out perfect instead of nearly ruined.

I find getting a check up from the doctor relaxing for some reason. Like you know when they're checking your eyes and ears and stuff.
I find the dentist relaxing.

A few minutes peace. Just getting to lie back, close your eyes and think with no distractions.

I assume it's not quite the same if you are getting root canal surgery or something though.

A good warm shower.

Especially if you really need one, after camping, hiking, working out etc.

Little happy coincidences.

Like when you open a book at the right page, stop fast forwarding just as the adverts finish, pull out the exact change you need, or switch on the radio just as the song you were thinking of starts.

That kind of thing.

Finding money you didn't know you had, in clothes you haven't worn in a while.

Even if your flush, it's still a good feeling to put your hand in an old jacket and pull out a tenner.

It brings a downside as well, but there's a VERY narrowly-defined temperature in the shower that if i hit it, it short-circuits my brain and switches it off. And I just stand motionless under the water like a fucking statue, with my brain basically tuned to white noise. And that might last for anything up to half an hour. But goddamn, do I feel calm and relaxed when I snap back into consciousness though. Unless I'm now 20 minutes late for work.
